There's a very good interview in todays League Express with Ian Lenagan regarding the sponsorship issues.
He is quite forth-write in stating that "Wigan will not undersell themselves".

I can't help but wonder if Lenagan offers any new sponsor a delay like last year and this to maximise the publicity they'll recieve when it's announced. I know it sounds abit far fetched but when you announce a sponsor as soon as a season finishes everybody sort of forgets about it and nobody talks about it. This way fans and media talk all off season about having no sponsor and then when we do get one it gets a raft of publicity.
Just an idea.

Whoever(if anybody) it turns out to be won't be too sad when every man and his dog(in the rugby league world anyway) are talking about Wigan finally getting a sponsor.
I'm pretty confident we'll have one in place for the start of the season. |

He also said it will be a 1year deal again with a 2nd year option, so clearly none of the sponsors involved are what he wants long term. |
