And still doubled what Clubb did in both them games.

I’m not sure what you are talking about to be honest.
I’ve said I think he will do a good job for the rest of the year if he signs and I’ve also said I think he will have a big impact off the field.
I think he would be a massive risk beyond this year due to level and intensity he has played at week in week out over the last few years.
Props in particular tend to age very quickly.
Hardly a damming criticism of him as a player or Saints signing him.
Locky clearly has issues regards fitness however he is still the best player on the field generally when he does play. Wigan have managed him over the last few years and generally that has worked nicely.
I don’t really understand where the rose tinted comment comes from.
I’d personally be gutted to see Graham come back and struggle as his career deserves more than that that’s happening for him at the moment in the NRL but I think he will do ok in SL for the rest of this year.

Genuine question, have you watched him play the last two weeks? You make out like he’s disgracing himself currently when the reality is far from it. If he was stinking the place out the way people are implying then he wouldn’t be getting picked every week.

No he isn’t to be fair but couldn’t miss the opportunity to just remind people how bad Clubb is.

Yes I have.
He is struggling.

So has our big forward signing George Burgess!
So we can hardly call St Helens for signing Graham!

I’m not and have not calling Saints for signing Graham. I have said I think he will do a job for then if it is for the rest of the season. I think it will however turn sour if it is for more than that.
I absolutely agree Burgess has struggled. The difference is their is potential for Burgess to get better due to his age, that isn’t the case for Graham.

Still here after your disastrous Barba/Escare post ?
Glutton for punishment springs to mind.

He’s made over 100 metres in each of his last 3 games. 170m, 148m and 103m so I wouldn’t say he’s struggling at all. Past his best obviously, he’s 34, but they’re strong numbers in a league that’s of a higher quality and played at a greater intensity. I would argue that even now Graham will still be a top 5 SL prop, he’d certainly walk into every side. Apart from Walmsley, Watts and possibly Philbin I’m struggling to think of anyone better.

Exactly. It’s true he’s not as good as he used to be, but who is at 34? To suggest he is struggling is harsh and perhaps wishful thinking on oppositions fan’s part? There’s no real hiding place in the NRL. If you’re “struggling” then you don’t get picked week after week. Sentiment can only go so far.
He’s performing solidly if not spectacularly and you are 100% right to say he’ll still be in the top 5 props over here. He’d be in every 17 in the league without a doubt.
Similar can be said for Benji Marshall who has today been linked with Wigan. Is he what he was? Of course not. Would be still be in the top 5 half backs over here and walk into every side? Absolutely. I’d take him over Theo Fages for example without hesitation.

| Graham will be fine and if it is a case of him just playing on until the end of 2020, then I could see him finding something extra inside himself and producing a pretty big end to his career. He’s clearly going to be a man desperate to right some wrongs of his past Grand Finals and as a stop gap, you can’t really say fairer than that. At the very very least he brings influence and leadership to that Saints side.

I think we will only sign Marshall if Hastings goes home
