Excellent contribution. If you're trying to prove that your a much better fan than the regular 3,000 that didn't turn up, then well done. Give yourself a badge.
I went to the game but my 6 year old son didn't. He was asleep before I left the house. We had a late night on the Saturday and he had a busy day on Sunday. I perhaps should have woken him up and had him crying during the match and absolutely useless at school the next day. Or maybe I should have canceled all the fun things he did on Saturday and Sunday just so he'd be awake and ready for the match on Sunday night.

A promise that was made when I had no idea if Wigan would make the playoffs, and what date the match would be if we did. I'm sorry but there's no way i'm letting my daughter down for anything on this earth mate, and if you think people should then there's really nothing further to be said.'"
Not being funny mate but making your daughter book one evening of quality time with her dad weeks, if not months, in advance isn't going to win you dad of the year so I wouldn't worry about the effects of cancelling it. I'm sure you could squeeze an hour or two in for your daughter this side of Christmas if you have to, just avoid the 10th October just in case.

| Quote: superobe "Steve Ella's BeardMaybe not from my own parental experience, but I can recall that my parents took myself and my brother to night football matches on schoolnights, without it causing us any harm. One night in particular I can recall was in January in the mid 90's, an FA Cup 3rd round replay at then Premiership champions Blackburn, which went to extra-time.
We wouldn't have got back to Hull till at least 12.30am, if not later. I would have been 14, and my brother 9 at the time, and he is still functioning perfectly well to this day following that.
Kids are far too molly coddled these days. They can't be up beyond 9-10pm for a one-off, what tosh.'"
i assume you arnt a parent then?
if you are you are an irrisponsible one imo, and so were your parents.
9 yr old still out at 12-30am ...jesus wept...and school the day after?
he may well be functioning today, but have you any idea how much that might have knocked him back.??
one off 10pms are ok............if its on a saturday night...wedding for example.
sorry mate...you have no idae about parenting at all

Bloody hell, i knew for definite that we were playing Castleford only after we got beat by Hudds on the 13th (so what, 9 days in advance) after i'd already made plans.
Oh and I didn't make her do anything, she asked me to do something on that particular sunday, and to be honest, i'd have spent the time with her fecking rugby match or not, final or not.
I'm sorry but I don't cancel anything with my daughter when I have control over the situation, nice that you just also assume she's around every single day of every week.
This is utter BS having to try and defend myself.
I'd give my life for my lass, would you do the same for Wigan RL?
Have you missed a game in your lifetime?

Warrington led 16-2 in Saturday's Grand Final, but their joy was short-lived as Wigan roared back to win the Super League title and extend the Wire's 58-year wait to be champions:d7dc4b20b2c2dd7b76ac6eac29d5604e_10174.png |

The biggest mistake the RFL made was moving away from the top 5 system to the simplistic top 6 because if I recall correctly they thought the top 5 system was too complicated for fans to understand.
I agree with DaveO!!
BRING BACK THE TOP 5

| We wouldn't have even made the play-offs if it was top 5.

Maybe we would have tried at Huddersfield or maybe in one of the previous games we should have won (e.g. Celtic away).
