Honestly, Hampshire's fan boys are f*cking unbearable. He's so overrated on here.'"
I thought NGB4C was a shoe in for biggest prat of the year award, but you've given him some serious competition.

| There is also a view that in dragging rocky back for a couple of games will disrupt the benefits of his year long loan. Cas will be less likely to play him if Wigan drag him back every few matches.
Maybe, just maybe, Wigan are looking slightly longer term than the next two to three matches.

I hadn't thought of that and there could be some merit of your view. I would love to think that you are correct but I think too many bridges have been burned for it to be true.

| Quote: Itchy Arsenal "Richardhead I was exaggerating to prove a point.
Get a grip you soft lad.
It's ok to knock Hampshire because sir SW thinks he is shoite but to criticise anyone who SW "rates" is sacrilege . Get a grip and get your own thoughts and opinions.
SW doesn't walk on water he is human and will make mistakes. His mantra is toughness which is great but will only get you you so far. Our style of play is appalling and maybe just maybe someone who is different and who has pace just might and I state just might be the answer.
You lap up Smith and Gregson at halfback good luck to you but it won't work and it won't bring in the crowds.
By the way Ias I believe has started most matches. Tell me what is so good about him that SW can't wait tell us about his injuries but says jack shoite about Williams being injured?'"
Do you know what a paragraph is? You illiterate spunk bubble!
Get my own opinion? I've literally just given you my opinion, that Hampshire, while clearly talented, is seriously overrated on here.
Regarding Isa, he started the first 3 games before getting injured and missing the next 6, returning to start against Warrington. That's 4 out of a possible 10 games he's played in. I think I'm right in saying that doesn't qualify as "most" games.

I certainly think Wigan take a longer-term view of these things than most fans. But as the Yorkshire bloke who's been posting on this thread seems to imply, I suspect there a determination in the Ryan camp to get him away from Wigan. And in that circumstance, I imagine that - transfer fee permitting (and it would have to be a good one) - Wigan will reluctantly let him go.

| There are a huge number of assumptions on this thread. Some may or may not be true, the truth is we as fans simply don't know.
As clarified earlier we have the option to recall RH if there is a significant injury to a half or full back. I would have thought the ST injury wouldn't count as that was known before he left. That leaves GW, Wane has said that GW could be back next week or it could be another 4. In the terms of the loan agreement does that count as significant? Again we don't know whether we can recall him or not at this stage.

That's true AND there are two sides to an agreement. Would Cas have specified that they have to have their first choice #6 and #1 available before Hampshire can return. At present both Dorn and Roberts are out, Hampshire is playing at #1 and they have an young player at #6.

I'm not really implying anything I have no idea what Ryan's or Wigan' intentions are and nor am I privvy to his or Wgan's future plans, all I have tried to do is explain to you your assumptions and your speculation regarding him are off the mark based on the little knowledge in my possession.

So you have no idea what Ryan's going to do or what Wigan are going to do, but you still think I'm wrong ... ???
Yeah, okay.

I neither know nor care about anything Wigan squire nor can I predict the future of Ryan Hampshire, but I clearly know more than what you do which is painfully obvious by the way you keep contradicting yourself.
I was simply trying in a polite sort of way to let you know that you were clueless with your assumptions of the situation, you obviously can't comprehend this or maybe your just looking to be awkward, either way were done I get no pleasure from trying to hammer a nail into a knot in a plank of wood.

You haven't let me know anything of the sort, nor will you ever ... because by your own admission, you don't know anything.

| Hampshire is certainly an enigma.
I don't think he cuts the mustard as a half at the moment. Somebody needs to convince him that, at the moment, his best attributes suit playing at full-back. He looks good coming into the line and has the passing and running game to provide a real threat from that position. After all, many excellent halves mature in the full-back position. However, his positional play and shakiness under the high ball make him a risk defensively.
It seems that Wigan and now Cas have decided his best position is full back (we have had Tom Holmes playing at stand-off for the last two).

I'm hoping that playing full back at Cas will help him realise that. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for him playing FB for Wigan next year with Tomkins at 6 and Williams at 7.
