Everytime he messed up at Leeds we always had someone on the Leeds board claiming to know how the meetings went between Hardaker and the club and EVERYTIME it was the clubs fault for handling things badly and they were overly harsh to him.
Exact same when he left Cas and you could read comments from someone who knew him placing the blame on how Cas handled things.
If Wigan get rid almost certain you’ll hear how Wigan were harsh and unfair on him and there was more to things than what you read in the news.
He might sound all apologetic and say the right things in his public apologies but clear he paints a different, harshly treated picture to those close to him who buy it and sell it.

Away games only, presumably? Not a cat in hell's chance the Canadian Border Control are letting him in.

| Not sure you can terminate contracts on an alleged DD charge, as serious as drink driving is, it’s not uncommon unfortunately. He seems a liability, who probably needs professional help.

Surely Wigan wouldn’t be so stupid as to sign Zac without a clause in his contract relating to his conduct.
He was known to have issues with alcohol so surely they would have made it clear their expectations.
He now deserves to be left out to dry. He’s clearly not willing to change. When a great kid like Macauley Davies has to give up the game whilst this muppet shows he really doesn’t give a toss he doesn’t deserve to be given Another chance.

Didn't realise that. So we presumably have a marquee spot free anyway then with Tomkins leaving, and cap allowance to make use of the nominal value of a marquee player if we ditch Hardaker

A common misconception. No one on any RL team has been denied a visa so far. It just takes longer. Toronto is a very good bet I'd say.

Todd Carney was rejected a Visa for the UK though, can see it potentially happening. I know the wrestler Jeff Hardy can't appear in Canada because he's had convictions for a few things including drink driving.

Dont think you could cover every clause in a contract, which would protect you from Zaks misdemeanours, Zaksit or remain an interesting decision for the Wigan management.

And although I have not read every comment on the DD issue that above is a very pertinent comment.
If the club does want to keep ZH, the PR department has got its work cut out.
Was never in favour of the signing myself but once he started training with Wigan I didn't think there was much point going on about it and I even dared to think he might be good to watch next season. A bridge had been crossed, he was back in RL so may as well see what he can do. So somewhat ironically I am very disappointed he's potentially got himself sacked and has (depending on the clubs reaction) blown it.

| Didn't want to sign him in the first place as this sort of thing was bound to happen sooner or later. Hock, as far as I can recall, only had problems off the field once and appears to have learned his lesson. Hock is still a loose cannon on the field but that is what makes him the player he is. Zak's off field misdemeanours are to numerous to mention.
Sarge to FB, Hankinson right centre, Gilly left centre and Morgan off the bench?

I’d try Manfredi at full back, granted it could go either way but if it worked he would be sensational

| The flabbergasting thing is that I think most people saw something like this happening at some point but even the harshest critic of him must’ve thought he’d get through more then a months worth of training before it blew up!
If he can’t keep his head down at this point then he’s never going to be able to do it IMO. I’d love to know if he’s genuinely bothered deep down? He can say what he wants and people can say he needs help but does he think he needs help or is he actually enjoying the life he leads? I get the sense his only regrets are getting caught.

I reckon you're right. He did mention depression when he left us for Cas but this seemed to coincide with being alienated from his mates in Ponte, first by Leeds trying to curfew him then by his stint down under. It's pretty obvious where his interests lie and it's not with his RL career.

There is quite a difference between someone entering a country for a three-day working trip, and that place being your ordinary place of residence/work.
