| Quote: Grimmy "I think he does feel bad about how far we've fallen, can't be great for him mentally having to come out week after week of poor performances because the owner won't just sack him.'"
Of that I have no doubt. I also have no doubt he genuinely cares about the club but for goodness sakes he must know he’s out of his depth. It’s not easy making that decision being in a job you simply cannot do - I’ve been there (as I’m sure other posters have too) and it’s horrible but equally it’s demoralising and mentally draining.
For the better of himself and the club he needs to step aside. Unless of course he is sacked.

| Deserves more respect than banners held up by lads not old enough to remember what he brought to this club as a player but it should be the end. It’s just not good enough and I don’t mean not good enough for Wigan, it’s not good enough for a pro rugby league club to be struggling this badly to score points. We can point to holes in the prop department but we made ground easy enough in that first half and still can’t do anything with it. We have Hastings, Hardaker, Gildart, Field, Marshall, Smith, Farrell, Bateman etc in that side and that’s enough attacking talent to at least pluck a few try’s here and there from somewhere.
No comments from Lam on the clubs official site or on Twitter yet makes me wonder if the end is nigh. I shudder to think what the score could be at Cas on Monday if not.

I absolutely agree.
I think their is a way back for Rads but he needs to go too. He needs to experience a career away from Wigan and earn his stripes.
For far too long Wigan Warriors believe that the best support staff have to have played for or live within Wigan.
It’s a nonsense.

| My biggest concern if Peet is installed as the next Head Coach that he is already on a hiding to nothing. The feeling amongst the fans, not just about the coach and results, is nothing shy of anger at how the club is being run at the moment. I don’t see how Peet changes that. If we get off to a thumping under his reign that just compounds fans belief his appointment is the cheap option and keeps them away - being totally honest I’ll probably fall into that bracket.
We’re seeing less and less fans go to the stadium, a total lack of communication from the top (albeit there’s a fans forum next week), a mediocre badge design, a poor kit, quality players being replaced with Championship standard players (Gildart and Thornley), players clearly having their minds elsewhere (Gildart), a lack of investment when it’s clearly needed, ex players moving to a close rival for £10k extra, 10 halves pointless. How does Peet even begin to change that feeling? He can’t.
I can honestly see us having these same anger fuelled rants in 12months time. I feel sorry for Peet, I really do. It’s too early and it’s too big a job for an inexperienced coach. He’ll be in a normal day job in 18months IMO.
We change the trajectory it by spending money on a quality proven coach. One who can turn us around bit by bit. The Wigan job isn’t just any RL job. It takes a special person to live up to its reputation

I can’t quite fathom how we get into a situation where Peet is even mentioned as a head coach of our club.

When was the last time failed to score a try in three home games? Catalans next.

I don’t think I could take us seriously as a professional outfit anymore if that ends up being the direction we take. I’ve just read Lam’s comments too about being rudderless and having a different fullback every week. Saddens me.

| I know you will think this is a Saints fan gloating but bear with me . . . . .
I watched a Wigan team tonight that wasn’t wearing cherry and white hoops, didn’t wear the Wigan crest and showed absolutely nothing.
Lam needs to go. I fear it won’t be enough and that the malaise runs deeper but he needs to go.
We need a strong Wigan. We need Wigan, Leeds, Wire, Saints, Catalan all firing and we’d have a great league. This league is poor and Wigan being poor is just so damaging.
Good luck.

| Quote: jonh "The lack of action from IFL on this if Lam is still there by our next game highlights a total lack of strength from our senior management.
He must go.'"
The slight problem with this is that it’s clearly not all down to Lam.
We simply don’t have the tools to do the job.
Our recruitment has been suicidal at best and to see this team go from side to side due to absolutely no go forward is sad to see.
I was one of the few who stated that Lam wasn’t ready for the Wigan job but it’s clear he has been completely undone by shocking recruitment.

| If you average our for and against over 21 games, we lose each game 17-16

| So who is selecting the team? Is it Lam alone or does he ask for input then ignore it? What on earth is going on?
Again he selected the young props whilst our three other senior props were sat in the stand. Week in and week out Lam is flogging these young forwards when their careers are not at the stage to be starting props every week. Especially with the workload of playing more games than any other club due to Covid.
Cas on Monday is a nightmare waiting to happen and at this rate Wire will have a field day. What does worry me though is if Lam puts those young forwards out v Catalans who have probably the biggest pack in the league. Lam simply must be prevented from doing that. Whether we like them or not Bullock, Clubb, Clark & Singleton all have to play against that huge Catalans pack. Lam also has to change tactics.
The idea that we can kick long and chase hard after playing more games than anyone is ludicrous. He has to slow the game down and slow the opposition down. Not in the tackle or wrestle as we'd concede too many pens and restarts. Simple enough and he must do it.
