| Sammy is good with the ball in hand; good turn of pace, good step and has a good offload.
He needs to improve his fitness levels (stamina) and hit harder in the tackle.

He would have to be probably the biggest rugby league player ever to enjoy the size advantage he has now.Imo being so big at an early stage will have a negative impact on your development.

Maybe a back up halfback, someone with a bit of experience on a short term deal.

| For me he a lacks a bit of game awareness, he could do with loosing a bit of puppy fat and getting some aggression.
And if he's 16 so am I.
I watched Ben Austin a few months ago and thought he along with Shelford deserved to be in the first team ahead of Burke, I'm surprised Austin has been released if that's true.

He did get released and was turning out for Swinton iirc but recently he's played a couple of games for our reserve team I believe so it would seem he's still around the club in some form.
I always liked the looks of him and Sutton.

So let's hope this lad can learn from that.'"
Haughton also lacked any real passion for RL didn't he? He was devastating at times but then gave up on the game.

I think he eventually dropped even off RU's radar. One of the big mysteries, Simon Haughton. I still remember him running through the entire Aussie pack at Elland Road. Whatever happened to him?

He is still only 16 years of age, 17 in August. He was playing in Wigan U16's scholarship last year before signing academy forms in July

| Too early yet. Dual reg to a lower down Championship side or a League 1 side next year would make more sense so he can get experience of playing against grown men. It's a massive step from Academy/Reserves to Super League, particularly for a forward.

| Simon Haughton didn't have a bad career, played a few times for GB.May not have lived up to expectations but he was far from a flop.

If you believe that then you'll believe Stanley Gene was the age he said he was.
There's a French lad from Mille who plays for Saints reserves, he's supposed to be young but he looks about 30
