The Scooter that overtook us definitely was a 125cc judging by the speed but I couldnt tell you if it had the mirror missing. My girlfriend likes bikes so she would more than likely have noticed so I will ask her later when I see her (It was dark but I did notice that it had markings on the side as it did nearly hit the side of my car on the way past). It had L plates on thats one thing for certain. Thats why I was shocked at the speed (overtook me on the 40 part of the road and I dont speed).

Where the markings red? And did the rear L plate look a little tatty at the bottom? Certainly sounds like what i'm looking for. I have passed this on the Police, thanks mate!

I know someone who had one stolen from Golborne about 6 months ago, they're quite common in the area, had it burnt out unfortunately. Apparently some young lads but couldn't prove it, had seem them eyeing it up for weeks and then caught them in back yard near scooter, weeks later it was gone. from memory they were from derby road. I'll do some digging for you.

I had a scooter nicked once by some kids who live near me. They were only a year or two younger, they were loitering on the front one night when I was coming home from a Quins match. I didn't think much of it at the time, but when I got up in the morning it'd gone. Took about 3 months for the pay out from insurance. This was 7 years ago. About 6 months ago I saw a burnt out scooter that resembled to one that had been nicked burnt out in some bushes when I was walking the dog.
