Agree with that.
But then again, Ashton wasn't the question was it, the option that was posed was Richards at fb.

whats that got to do with anything?
have we still got ashton in the squad? No.
Is there a better fullback in the squad? For me, no. He's better there than richards.
Is it one of the most pressing concerns with our rubbish team? No. Phelps is one of the few "positives" from this season so far.
Ashton had to go, we weren't going to pay him what he wanted as it was a silly amount for such a young unproven lad.
Also, i think there are similarities between ashton and ainscough, great attacking but not the best defensively. Which one has the better attitude to improve and play for wigan?

Orford has aspirations to still play rep football in Australia. Kimmorley has done all that.

I seem to racall a good few year back that Kimmorley was offered a contract by a SL club and he turned around and stated that he had no intensions of playing over here, he might have even rubbished our game, but then went on to state that he would probabley come for one last payday, thats either true or the copius amount of Doves i did in the early 90's are playing tricks with me again, C'mon Rainhill posse massiv
P.S. he also has the same birthday as me

| Standards need to be raised.
Smith, Phelps, Bailey and Coley should all go in my opinion provided Lenagan can find the right quality to fill the cap space.
Goulding, Hansen, Carmont, Prescott/O'Carroll and Fielden should all go the year after. The rest of the squad are players I'd want to keep but the departures of the above players should be more than enough to revamp the squad to the extent we need.
Its simply dependant on whether Lenagan can deliver the goods over the next couple of years.

i think theres room for both of them tbh, if coley leaves this year, and fielden next.

Like I said standards need to be raised.
I'm actually doubtful as to whether either are good enough but the bottom line is they're in direct competition with each other for a possible long-term place.

I agree with the list of player's, but I think O'Carroll could and should be one to keep hold of, he as a huge potential.

44841.jpg There is a place in wigan, right next to Robin Park, where legends such as Farrell, and Radlinski made their mark. the boardroom's full of trophy's, its time we won some more, All the other teams know what we mean when they hear the Wigan roar.....:44841.jpg |
|
| I like O Carroll but I like Prescott more. Up to him getting injured last season I thought he was our best prop and might have made international. Glad to see him back in the first team and running strong and hard. I'd not let Prescott go. He's gonna be a special player and he's maturing really well.

| Ainscough, tomkins gleeson tommy as a 9, feka hock j tomkins lockers are the only 1st teamers worth keepin.
So many on here believe average players are good, it's actually laughable.
Someone said phelps was superb, Richards and carmont as outstanding-what a joke.
If Wigan did have a world class player he'd be a god, oh yes lord Farrell I forgot.
Bang on all you want, the table drowns out the cr@p people speak, till we realise were and who we are we'll never progress.
