Just been announced that Mick Hogan is leaving Sale Sharks at the end of January to take up a job with RWC 2015. Obviously well thought of within the RFU. Always thought he was doing a good job at Wigan, particularly with his friendliness and communication with the fans.

i live next door to Edgeley Park and have bumped into Mick outside my house and had a great chat with him, i met him and spent a bit of time with him in Perpignan/Canet/the trip to see riversiders play a friendly in 2008 and he remembered me, very friendly and approachable guy. he speaks highly of Wigan and says to his colleague and myself "they started winning when i left" damning his luck



told me some interesting stuff re Noble's training regime etc etc compared to the modern day coach/manager
