39110_1363272058.jpg Dropkick Murphy..we actually saw and heard a mass of bouncing and scarf and flag waving to Dale Cavese that drowned out anything we could muster.. It stopped us singing our own celebratory songs, it died out seconds later when we accepted we couldn't be heard over the Wigan lot
Celebrations muted from us, job done from them. Most fans who slag them off are jealous their own club's support is nowhere near that good
-
sally cinnamon..Why not discuss Wigan? It's a rugby league message board. Wigan are the most famous brand in rugby league
-
Tre Cool..Saints fans are hopeless unless it's a cup final or grand final. Wigan fans are so much more loyal and passionate
-
the flying biscuit..Wires havent been massively succesful over the years, but I've spoke to Brian Bevan And he spoke to me and i wouldnt swap that for Wigans History, ever
-
Ande..on the TV i could only hear the Wigan fans with about 10 to go
-
Saint94..Every team is in your feckin shadow, we all know

I think they would want JP to play even at 85%. Ali is a big loss for you, he is a quality threat to any defence. We usually handle Peacock pretty well IMO. Wouldn't be suprised if first set we send two forwards straight at Peacock and then Leuluai darting from dummy half.

I also thought that Wigan fans were a lot more knowledgeable about the game than some seem to be on here. It was jonh who started going on about Ainscough and Goulding to somehow defend Pryce, I was just intrigued by the childlike reasons that he gave and general lack of understanding about the game.'"
No infact you were the first to mention Ainscough and the bulk of the last few pages of this thread are about who gets dropped if Amos plays.
As for your theory on pro players only being able to attack down one side and not selecting where to attack due to tactics and weaknesses in the oppositions team I feel you are one one being naive rather than us "fickle" Wigan fans, who are actually making a judgement call off the back of a players form when they have been in the same team over the last few weeks. If us fans are fickle you sir are simply ignorant.

You want to make sure you dont fall off that high horse. Are you the sites policeman or something?
Jonh started the comparisons, not me. I simply stated that Pryce has done very little and that some Wigan fans are blowing him up out of all proportion. Many Wigan fans also seem to agree with this so I dont see what is the big deal. The posts in reply from Wigan fans that think he is great seem to back this up as no one has even put forward a sound argument as to why he deserves the praise he is getting. By your response I guess you are one of these Pryce fans

I just wanted to know how you had made a judgement on something you hadn't seen. I've always thought Pryce has had the talent. The jury is still out whether he has a long term future at Wigan, but at the moment it would appear about 50/50 split as to whether he is in front of Goulding for selection, would you not agree.

This wouldnt be so funny if it wasnt coming from the person that shows absolutely no RL knowledge and basis his entire argument on more tries being scored on one side of the pitch than the other. Even other Wigan fans have said that Goulding was only at fault for one of the tries in the matches that you are talking about so your entire argument carries little weight. I was simply stating reasons why you cant look at it in such a simple way, this was one of many, and that you have to look further for the causes of tries rather than just blaming the other winger because you want to portray Pryce as a world beater. If the entire argument is that Pryce is in such good form because he has scored 8 tries and that is defence is better, and it infact isnt any different and that his side just hasnt been tested in the same way, then that argument becomes rather weak.
For what its worth I hope Pryce does become a world beater because he could be a very useful asset for England, especially no that he has already gotten Union out of his system. I have just not seen anything in him that makes me think he is going to fulfil that potential.

So just to do my policeman bit.
How many times have you seen him play?
1) recently
2) ever
3) when?

| Just out of interest, does anyone think Roberts might be on the bench for the game with the same backline as the Crusaders game? It's the biggest game of the season and a massive risk to bring back a player who hasn't played for a couple of months.
I heard people suggesting he would be on the bench for the Crusaders game and play 20 minutes or something like that.
It seems Feka has been dropped, so rather than add another prop into the side maybe Maguire will go with Coley, Fielden and Prescott as the 3 props and have Roberts coming off the bench. It means we won't have to play anyone out of position if Roberts isn't quite up to speed, and gives cover if any of the backs don't perform.
Riddell can be used as an extra back row or possibly prop as he's already done that quite well this season, and it means there might be some more impact off the bench. That could mean a team of...
Richards; Goulding, Gleeson, Carmont, Pryce; S Tomkins, Leuluai; Fielden, McIlorum, Coley; Bailey, J Tomkins, O'Loughlin. Subs: Roberts, Riddell, Prescott, Farrell/Tuson.

Leaving a gaping hole for mcguire to run into and score a walk in try?
