| At the forum IL said Tommy has re-signed for the option year of his current deal. Can't remember the exact words but I'm pretty sure it was then hinted that a new deal was being suggested beyond his current contract.

This is simply not true. Plenty of people, including top CEO's state their intention to move on, and they see out their notice period.

Where an individual is going to a competitor and has access to sensitive information it is common to ask them to leave immediately.
Given the club through TL have now denied the media report, I do not see the point of discussing it.

| Heard big rumours that Griffin is days away from signing. And that King is not too far away.

Hope so on both.
Good quality options to replace Gleeson and Coley who I'd hope would be who were looking at replacing. I'd expect Hock to take Hoffmans place and then we just need to see what Carmont and Deacon decide to do.

| Initially i was rather nonplussed about the King rumors, but lately the thought of Pat, King and Hock rampaging down our left has me intrigued.
Griffin will do a job and tbh thats all we really need from him. He has been in very good form recently and is a bit of a poop house to boot.
Decent signings that could prove to be good business.

| I genuinely don't see the need for Griffin. Decent player and all, but we've got 4 perfectly good props in the team at the minute. Swap in Coley for Fielden next year, arguably stronger. Behind them you've then got O'Carroll (who's back in training I think) and Dom Crosby not far behind with a couple of the 2nd rowers having the ability to step up.
Matt King, yes. I'd be very happy with signing him, however I can't see it happening.

Had a blinder against Knights today, defo a top prospect, ideal for what we need.

I wasnt too keen on these signings when I first heard the rumours but thinking about it now they seem very clever to me. When was the last time we signed already proven super league players from rival clubs? Hopefully we are looking at a halfback from somewhere to partner up with Finch then thats us sorted for me next year:
Out : In
Coley - Griffin
Gleeson - King
Hoffman - Hock
Roberts - Halfback?
Carmont + 1 year
1. Sam
2. Charnley
3. King
4. Carmont
5. Richards
6. Finch
7. Mellor/New Halfback
8. Fielden
9. Leuluai
10. Mossop
11. Hock
12. Joel
13. O'Loughlin
14. Lima
15. McIlorum
16. Farrell
17. Griffin
Hansen, Goulding, Prescott, Tuson, Marsh, Davies, Crosby, Logan, Hughes all still to fit in...

| Although Griffin and King are not the two best players around, I would be very satisfied if we signed them. King used to be world class and he is getting back to old form. Coley was no better than Griffin when we first signed him but our coaching helped Coley become a top class player.

And is 32 this year.
Griffin will be 30 this year.
I'd take Griffin on a two year deal.
