Can't be too disappointed about that - a game decided by extremely poor refereeing.

The gap is closing.

Regardless of the result we have shown again that Saints are there for the taking if we are good enough. Poor red card decision has likely cost us the match.

The best team won. Bateman’s stupid offload turned that game. Let’s give Saints credit they never stopped coming and we had no game management at the death. When Smith kicked to the corner we should have slowed the play the ball down and given another six away.

It was a poor decision. It was made by those who have never played the game. However, we still had the opportunity to win that game. If you take dummies you pay the price and we did.

Letter of the law - red card. The law however is terrible.

That last attacking set from us was terrible.

Exciting and close game with the result decided by the ref due to the sending off. Fair play to saints, they just never stop and we could learn a lot from that. We move on

Neither do we to be fair. There’s a lot to take from that game, especially considering what went against us.

Great 2nd half thankfully after a dour 1st half. Thought Saints were slightly the better team - we ultimately made too many handling errors and poor defensive decisions. Our forwards struggled against a bigger Saints pack. Welsby was terrific. Thought the red card should have been a yellow. I'm not sure we should have started Cust - would have preferred us to stick with our lineup for the last two games.

I don't feel too down about it - you would rather have that happen in a regular season game than a knockout game. We've competed with them right to the end in 2 consecutive games and we'd have been very happy with that and the overall position we're in this time last year.

What a waste of tickets, hotel, train and spenders - all for it to be decided by an awful ref decision. Nothing will be said or done tho.

Shorrocks, still to this day I do not know what he brings to the team other than effort. He has no clear talent that I can see, he isn't big, fast, strong or a good ball player.

Bibby, shooting out of the line is just plain dumb. Quite relaxed about him going, very average at either wing or centre.

Cust was slow to react to most things, said last week that this wasn't the game to bring him back.

Hopefully the disappointment will help some guys to learn a lesson, letting Hurrell offload with 4 men on him was criminal.

Good game. At times we’re are own worse enemy. Credit to bachelor robbed of the Motm, I always thought he didn’t have much to his game. Definitely promising signs. We’ll get them next time
