Wish i'd known! I'm having a baby in June so unlikely to be able to get to many games this year. I for the impression from the renewal pack that to get or reserved seats for next year, we'd have to renew this year
Does anyone know how we get the 10% discount from the store without a physical session ticket? Is there a code we can use on the website or anything?

To make sure that the club couldn't deny that they had said this to me on the phone i asked them to send me an e-mail and they did i also have the telephone conversation recorded also

| Recording the call isn't much use without prior consent though as you can't share it with a third party as you would breach GDPR.
You could possibly play it back to Wigan (not 100% on this as it still breaches the individuals privacy) but if the policy isn't what you were told and the policy is detailed elsewhere then they're under no obligation to honour what you were told. They probably would do, but they don't have to.

| Take Jukesays mistake for example. If a member of staff told him it woukd be fine, Wigan would be under no obligation to put his name on the wall as the policy was written down in the t&cs

The recording is for my records and not to be shared with anyone else,but it's like i stated in my post that i now have it in writing and they can't deny that they said it

Have you asked for a refund for your season ticket it might be worth a try

Just wondering why you would want to record a phone call that you can do nothing with. Seems a bit weird.
Oh, and if the terms and conditions say that to move your season ticket to 2022 you need to write in for example, then your email off someone means little also. If a lad at McDonalds emails all his friends saying Big Macs are free do you think they will start giving them away?
You're probably ok because I don't believe you actually have to do anything, but your boast of "I have an email and a recording" would not trump the t&cs.

Well the email is from the ticket office and that is good enough for me so you can think what you like about that

| An unexpected direct debit from my bank this morning for next season's season tickets. I say unexpected as I thought I had witdrawn from the Auto Renewal scheme and, for various reasons, we are not renewing this season. A call to the ticket office pointed me towards a letter in the season ticket renewal pack that I had to let them know by 12 March if I didn't want to renew. I hadn't even opened the letter as I had no intention of renwing and though that the club were aware I wasn't in their scheme any more. They weren't hopeful of me getting my money back on the phone either. Quick call to the bank, and they are able to recall payments like this as long as its done on the day that the money has been taken out (ie tomorrow would have been too late). Just flagging this up in case anybody else gets caught out with what is just a misunderstanding.
I withdrew from the scheme prior to last season, but they took the money anyway. I was in two minds about a season ticket then so kept the ticket but informed the club that I ddin't want to to auto renew from then onwards. My fault for not cancelling the direct debit there and then

| I rang ticket office and was told if I didn't renew this year I would not get the same seat's for next year as they would be sold on. I also questioned the renewal price compared to the auto renewal price, given that they have to be paid for virtually at the same time, still not had a response back yet.

Auto renewal has always been cheaper. It's a benefit of signing up to the scheme.
The terms literally say that your seat will be kept on.

I understand the auto renewal has always been cheaper, I have never signed up as I don't like the idea of the money going out in one go without being in control of when, but I was just a bit annoyed this year as I have to pay for my ticket in the same timescale as auto renewal yet it's more expensive.

Direct debit is still available so not true.
An annoyance could be that non-ST holders get the same price as current ST holders I guess. No reward for loyalty that way, other than having your seat for next season.
