You do the lad a great disservice by implying that he's not capable of making his own decisions.'"
I rate Ryan highly, on the basis of having watched him all through his junior days and seeming him shine in one of the best youth teams in the UK.
You brought his dad into it, not me.
My assumption was that, as usual, a money-grubbing agent would be behind his desire to leave. You are aware that it is not in an agent's interest to have a settled player? But if his dad is involved as well, that will be a much harder thing for Wigan to overcome.
If Ryan is making his own decisions, then he should be advised to chill out and look to the future. Powell is no guru and Cas are not Wigan.

| I don't understand this massive Hampshire love in with the Wigan fans.Hes never done it for the first team and I really don't believe that every other member on this forum watches the juniors.
I have always had big hopes for him off what other members of this forum have said but he's never once impressed me.
It seems like it's time for him and a lot of fans to move on.

Richardhead I was exaggerating to prove a point.
Get a grip you soft lad.
It's ok to knock Hampshire because sir SW thinks he is shoite but to criticise anyone who SW "rates" is sacrilege . Get a grip and get your own thoughts and opinions.
SW doesn't walk on water he is human and will make mistakes. His mantra is toughness which is great but will only get you you so far. Our style of play is appalling and maybe just maybe someone who is different and who has pace just might and I state just might be the answer.
You lap up Smith and Gregson at halfback good luck to you but it won't work and it won't bring in the crowds.
By the way Ias I believe has started most matches. Tell me what is so good about him that SW can't wait tell us about his injuries but says jack shoite about Williams being injured?

I don't think it's a "massive love in" to prefer trying him over an untried academy second rower or a loose forward who is much more valuable in his proper position.

He didn't sign a new 3 year contract Matty, he signed an extension to his existing contract to make up the 3 years.

Ok, read the detail wrong. The question still stands though, why would he sign if so unhappy?

Yes I did bring his dad and his agent into it, but only in the context of your assumption that somebody was giving him bad advice, it would be a poor show if his dad didn't show concern for the future and well being of his son, but that's as far as it goes and I'm sure his agent Andy Clark also has his best interest at heart, perhaps instead of questioning Ryan's motives in all this you might look closer to home inside the club.
Not sure where Powell fits into this, all he did was give the lad a chance with no guarantees, so I would say it looks like he is looking to the future, and It's plainly obvious Cas are no Wigan so why compare them.

If Rocky had not signed the extension he would not have been allowed to leave on loan.

I thought NGB4C was a shoe in for biggest prat of the year award, but you've given him some serious competition.

| There is also a view that in dragging rocky back for a couple of games will disrupt the benefits of his year long loan. Cas will be less likely to play him if Wigan drag him back every few matches.
Maybe, just maybe, Wigan are looking slightly longer term than the next two to three matches.

I hadn't thought of that and there could be some merit of your view. I would love to think that you are correct but I think too many bridges have been burned for it to be true.

Do you know what a paragraph is? You illiterate spunk bubble!
Get my own opinion? I've literally just given you my opinion, that Hampshire, while clearly talented, is seriously overrated on here.
Regarding Isa, he started the first 3 games before getting injured and missing the next 6, returning to start against Warrington. That's 4 out of a possible 10 games he's played in. I think I'm right in saying that doesn't qualify as "most" games.

I certainly think Wigan take a longer-term view of these things than most fans. But as the Yorkshire bloke who's been posting on this thread seems to imply, I suspect there a determination in the Ryan camp to get him away from Wigan. And in that circumstance, I imagine that - transfer fee permitting (and it would have to be a good one) - Wigan will reluctantly let him go.
