| Quote: Conroy "Personally I like the RU format. Means you have to finish top 4 which puts a bigger emphasis on the league program.'"
That's basically what it will be like under the new system in 2015.
Top 8 for the split but you have to finish in the top 4 to have a shot at OT.

| Playoff System:
1st goes through to the GF.
2nd goes through to the semi final.
3rd plays 4th, winner plays 2nd, winner of that faces who came top.
Only 4 teams in the playoffs, each rewarded something higher for were they finished in the league. This system keeps the playoffs and adds more emphasis on doing well in the league.

The team going to the GF wont have played for 3 weeks by the time it comes around, that could be a massive disadvantage come the day

| If they want a competitive Super League at the top end then make it a top three play off.
1st goes to GF.
2nd v 3rd for the other GF place.
The 1st team only has the one week off.
The semi would be well attended as it's last chance for both clubs.
Whether it's top 8 or 5 play off crowds are going down each year as fans are bored with it all. No point in playing games if no one wants to pay to watch.

I agree with this format for 2015 after the top 8 have played each other once this will give all the 8 clubs something to play for no easy root to O/T.

| My preferred system (assuming the 3X8 system is approved) would be a top 4 playoff -
Week 1
1v2 for Grand Final Qualifier
3v4 Elimination Playoff
Loser of 1v2 plays winner of 3v4 - Grand Final Qualifier
Grand Final

I was told Monday there was a strong chance he could be staying. His terms had been agreed with NZW but the transfer fee had not.

Over the moon if that's true, one more year would massively help us out, not only with our chances of winning trophies next year, but also the development of Tierney and Hampshire. Maybe in 2015 we could see
1 Tierney
6 Hampshire
7 Smith
15 Williams/Logan/S.Powell

If you don't bother to go to the game when you live in the locality then you are not really a fan and therefore your views are invalid. It's simple.:icons39ad_files/4821-1859san_c-msnicons.jpg |

| All we need is one more year IMO. We have Tierney, Burgess, Hampshire and Williams busting a gut to get in the first team but all 4 just need another 12-18 months worth of first team chances, without being first choices before being ready to step in.
I can't see Tomkins not going now but I'd be delighted if there was anything in it. We had that three year agreement with him and we need him to stick to it. At the end if next year he'd go with everyone's blessing and we'd still be looking at a good fee for him.

Warrington led 16-2 in Saturday's Grand Final, but their joy was short-lived as Wigan roared back to win the Super League title and extend the Wire's 58-year wait to be champions:d7dc4b20b2c2dd7b76ac6eac29d5604e_10174.png |

| Lenegan has seen how his team goes without Sam and knows if he's not here next year the chances of silverware are minus zero.
NZW are in this deal with big money wages and big money transfer fee. Now Sam hasn't played in the league for weeks maybe they are getting worried, very worried about spending vast sums of money on a player who can't play!
I just think there's a lot more going on here than we at first realised!

Or maybe Lenagan has been doing all he can all along to stop the move all along...
I agree FT, i also think there is much more to this than meets the eye, and not as simple as many people might assume.
