| Quote: Fishsta "You mean the ones that received the official press release rather than an unofficial website statement? BIG difference.
Try ringing them up. I did. They happily confirmed it was wrong.
How about the article BY JAMES STOSIC HIMSELF? Forget that one?
Bottom line is, a press release is much more reliable than a hurried statement on a website, and that is what the press would have written their reports from.
But then does it really matter whether Stosic was injured or not? Cunningham still punched him in the face like a thug. You can't argue that particular fact.'"
You actually rang the club, to try and see if KC had injured someone? That is incredibly sad and really bordering on obsession, a fact that seems to be being picked up by more and more people. Chill out! Stop your One Man crusade against all things Saints. It might help you live longer.

I think that rule must have been rescinded, otherwise at the moment there would be players getting banned most weeks.

I think he lived in Beech Hill for a spell and played for St Judes.

By turning his back I assume you mean nearly ending his career picking up a horrible injury in a GB shirt?
And what has England got to do with KC?

| Quote: FearTheVee "Nor have I tried to.
But if you think KC is at the front of the thug queue, you either haven't watched much rugby or are massively bitter. After playing in the front row for 16 years you can probably count his genuine indiscretions on one hand and I can't remember him ever being sent off (although I could be wrong there).
If lashing out with his ball carrying arm in a tackle is the worst you can come up with (for which he didn't receive a ban, given his exemplary disciplinary record) then that says a lot. Would you say Coley is a thug, given he's had a red card in 2010? What about Hock, with a ban for manhandling a ref? No? Thought not.'"
I said Coley was a thug before he came to Wigan and didn't like the idea of us signing him. He has been a lot better since coming to Wigan, but I still worry when he plays that he's going to let himself and the club down.
Hock, well... great rugby player spoiled by the same problem.
Cunningham has done a lot more than just the Stosic incident and is one of the worst thugs SL has seen. It's the fact that he's got away with SO much over the years that really riles me when people call him "King" or "Legend". The fact is, there's been better hookers at St Helens, not just in SL. Cunningham struggles to pass backwards from the play the ball, for Chrissakes!

If he'd played for Wigan, I'd have choked on my own vomit.

No, it's not sad, it's called "Research". Are you going to say every Rugby League reporter is sad when they do theirs? Do you look at the disciplinary news on the RFL website? You're sad if you do. The thing is, Saints fans argued and argued (and still do, despite all the evidence) that Cunningham didn't fracture Stosic's eye socket, so I found out for definite, from the Wakefield media department, that that particular page was wrong.
Now, to actually say something positive about Saints, I'll be glad when Potter's gone for the simple fact that you won't have a coach who insists on bringing back a future GB star too early after injury. Eastmond needs a rest, for God's sake give it to him before GB and/or SL loses out on this talent through repeated injury. There is a player I WOULD want at Wigan, and he's a million percent better than Cunningham ever was.

There's a surprise
Come on, if he's one of the worst thugs SL has seen, name his top5 thuggish acts. In fact, name any 5 thuggish acts from his career.
Less than one incident every three seasons - it should be easy to come up with some shockers.

Have I missed something? Or were you doing it as part of a Rugby League Report? The difference being someone who checks the disciplinary news is looking in general, not ringing a club to try and prove a point in an argument about a player you are clearly obsessed with? Did he run over you in the Junior sections, or ruin the 1st game you ever went to by scoring or something? It's clearly not healthy to be as obsessed with one person as you are with KC.
I hardly think he's going to be lost due to repeated Injury. If your so concerned maybe, he could be left out of the 4 Nations to have a rest? However, I dont think you will agree with this idea as it doesn't negatively affect Saints. As for better than Cunningham, I think its rather early to say. If he has half the influence and success that Kieron has had at Saints he'll do okay.

No response yet, I wouldn't have thought it would take so long to come up with a measly 5 incidents in 16 years for such a thuggish player.

| Quote: Rogues Gallery "My only complaint I have ever had with him, was taking the Rugby League loyalty money and then turning his back on England / GB.'"
complete myth.
1) he was Welsh, so never would have played for England
2) he made 14 appearances for GB in his career. Kris Radlinski only made 6 more yet is seen as some sort of international legend on here. 14 international appearances for a hooker compares pretty favourably with players of any generation and nationality.
He played in the infamous Sydney test whilst injured - the game where he was poisoned by the RFL and pretty much forced to play through injury. Then he suffered a potentially life changing injury playing for GB at Blackburn. After that injury it is a miracle that he ever played again, so there is no shame in retiring from international rugby after suffering like that.
Finally, he may have taken the money for "Team GB" - but I doubt it was in the contract he signed that the RFL could treat him as a guinea pig for any medical experiments that they wanted to. The RFL are lucky that he didnt take further action for gross misconduct and incompetence.

Watch Puletua (sp) for Cunninghams try, and watch Lomax's play for the ball for the second and third Saints trys.
It's a joke.
Either enforce it or forget it.'"
Get over it. You just cant stand the sight of Saints winning can you??? Moan, Moan, Moan oh and yes more Moaning its all you ever do! 99% of play the balls in Super League arent done correctly wheather its Saints, Wigan, Leeds, Castleford or Salford. They are all as bad as eachother for doing it.

Well, obviously there's Stosicgate, there was his high tackle on Coley in the play-off last year, there was his unpunished late elbow to Sam Tomkins' head after the kick (I think that was the same match, isn't a late attack on the kicker supposed to be an instant sin bin?)...
Picking out 5 individual things over such a long career is difficult, especially remembering who they were all on.
What would probably be easier is watching him play this weekend and picking 5 thuggish acts out of that match. He's bound to make plenty more than that.
(Watch this now, just to scupper this, he'll go off injured in the first minute. I might only get 2 then.)
