in the CC you can play poop and still reach the final, or play great and get knocked out. Its all about the luck of the draw IMO
2/8 teams in the quarter finals will be NL1 teams for example, so thoretically we can reach the semis by only playing ameteur teams. Im sure widnes will go all out against us and shouldnt be taken lightly, but i know id rather be playing widnes than hudds.

All joking aside it is possible that with the right draw we could progress to the semi finals or even final doing just that. 2 (at least) of the last 8 will be from outside SL, if we draw one of them and the other pulls off a shock win in round 6 we could have Coop league teams all the way to Wembley.
Then again we could also go into round 5 half cooked and get embarrassed.

You are correct, the crowd was a little over 6k and would be probably be pretty similar this time round. Widnes are in no condition to give Wigan any semblance of a game right now (to be honest they may well struggle to beat the French anyway). I'm afraid people claiming "almost full house" and "competitive game" that should be on TV are well wide of the mark.

| Crusaders v Catalans Dragons or Harlequins v St Helens
Huddersfield v Warrington
Would imagine they'll be the two television games.

True you could be really lucky and avoid the likes of Leeds and Saints.
An easy draw would of been better don't get me wrong but we won it last year having to beat Hull KR away Wigan and then Hudds its a very hard draw but if we want to keep hold of the Cup we need to be able to beat anyone.

i went watching Widnes vs St.Judes in the 3rd round. i think they best they had were the on or two strong runners coming off the short balls so i can definetley see us in th'hat for the next round. i just wished it was at DW

Given the numbers that normally attend cup matches in recent years I think the crowd and the atmosphere will probably be better with the tie at Widnes rather than at the DW. (Should Widnes beat Lezignan that is)
