If he was Australian you may be right - but thats because expectations are far greater for the limited quota spots and the wages that are often associated. Pryce is a reclamation project at best, a gamble the club seem willing to perservere with and one that I believe will pay dividends in the long term for Wigan.

as well as whenever he took a drive in sucked in 2 or 3 defenders to take him down, as well as knocking a couple off in the process. For me he did more in that game than Goulding, whom i really just do not rate.

I too think Karl Pryce will come good, he certainly has the ability. With regards to Goulding, I would have him back at Wigan. He must have been given the number 3 shirt for a reason.

Goulding and Pryce as Wigans long term centres; sounds good to me.

I've never said that at all - my opinion is if he's better than a Wiganer then he should play, I'm not bothered where he's from. I just don't think he's got what it takes to play for Wigan, and I think the money spent on him could and should be better spent elsewhere. That's just my opinion.

I like being proved wrong on player's so I hope he does pick up but from what I've seen from him so far he doesn't warrant a shirt, reserves or first team.

The way i see it Goulding has shown enough application to be a top player, but lacks the ability.

I have seen more from Pryce to think he may well be a very good player for our team, than i ever have with Goulding.


Goulding will in my opinion never be a player in a team that is consistently challenging for honours, Pryce just might be, and for that reason we go with Pryce and allow Goulding to make a career at another club rather than hold him back to play a bit part when there is no chance he has a future at a club with our ambitions.
