| You seem to be completely missing the point.
Who apart from the media and some bookmakers are saying "Castleford will win the grand final" ?
What you will find is that the Castleford fans are enjoying and reveling in watching a good quality side that are improving year on year.
Most of the fans are realistic Obviously we have a chance but there are plenty of other clubs who could as well.
It seems there are some very bitter Wigan fans making assumptions "They don't give out gold rings in April" WHO SAID THEY DID ?.
Most fans from other clubs seem to be happy that other teams are trying to better themselves and making the league more competitive but it seems like that doesn't apply to Wigan

Surely you'll only want the same odds the bookies are giving?
That's what you wanted to give last year?

Warrington led 16-2 in Saturday's Grand Final, but their joy was short-lived as Wigan roared back to win the Super League title and extend the Wire's 58-year wait to be champions:d7dc4b20b2c2dd7b76ac6eac29d5604e_10174.png |

I think EVERY Wigan fan is happy for Cas and having a different team up there challenging. Most have been very complimentary about your style of play in fact.
What gets on our tits is that every time one of the small West Yarksher clubs beat us, they spend the following week gassing on this WIGAN board calling us out... Wakefield were the same last year. We seem to be reserved special treatment that other clubs aren't, yet when we react we're called bitter!
Do us a favour, P off and come back with the same swagger in October...

If you don't bother to go to the game when you live in the locality then you are not really a fan and therefore your views are invalid. It's simple.:icons39ad_files/4821-1859san_c-msnicons.jpg |

| As someone pointed out on one of the other threads, if Cas fans expect to come on the Wigan board to find praise for how wonderful their side is, they are going to be in for a long wait, and I'm sure it would be no different on the Whinos' board, say, or anywhere else. FWIW, my take is that Cas are playing good attacking footy at the moment, and as Orrell Lad says upthread, it's good to see another side challenging at the top of the table, like Hull last year. Whether you'll be there at the business end of the season, time will tell.
Looking forward to the return game at the Jungle.

| The point is nobody from Castleford has asked or wanted praise from anyone on here.
I too look forward to the return fixture as it's always good to test yourself against the big teams,If we are not "The Winners" at the end of October so be it.
Castleford's season and club can be judged on a lot more than winning the Grand Final.
It wasn't long ago that we were 24 hours from adminastration and in a VERY bad place, everything that has happened over the last few seasons shows how far we have come and we are just enjoying it the best we can.
Believe me I've been watching for over 35 years and have seen LOTS of ups and downs (but mainly downs lol).
I for one appreciate what Wigan have brought to our league for years, they are without doubt the club who brought the standard up throughout the league as everyone had to try to get to their level.
Good luck for the season (but not against us)

Tony Clubb: "This is a new exciting chapter of my life signing for Wigan and I couldn't be happier" 18/10/2013
Romain Navarrete: “I’m very happy to have signed for Wigan Warriors. As soon I knew that Wigan were interested, they were the only team that I wanted to sign for. To me, Wigan is the biggest Club in Rugby League and it will be an honour to pull on the famous Cherry-and-White jersey next year. I look forward to working with Shaun Wane and the players at Wigan.”:d7dc4b20b2c2dd7b76ac6eac29d5604e_10172.jpg |

Tigerman: That's a very sensible post. I'm sure you'll find all (well 90%) of the Wigan posters on here are also sensible if, given the chance, you come on here discussing RL in a grown up fashion, prepared to offer praise and criticism where it's due, but you must have mentioned the 'famous Wigan Walk' a few times. Sure, some fans leave, regardless of the score, before the eighty minutes is up, but they do at all grounds.
