You would like to think not, if he is going to Wakefield Id agree that we havent put a bid in for him, which worries me when on paper he seems exactly the kind of forward we need.

We are in serious trouble with out recruitment if we have not signed anyone yet.

Hull FC have got it spot on.

Or have taken several sizeable risks that could easily backfire.

They may have it spot on in terms of getting in their early but i'm not overly convinced with their signings.

Long and Fitzgibbon have 2 seasons maximum left in them and haven't been at their best for a while, O'Meely is crocked and again hasn't been at his best for a while and Tansey is average.

It's all weel and good getting your signings in early if they're of the right quality.

We do need to get moving though. Mr Lenagan isn't one to rush but we can't afford to keep missing out on our targets year after year.

Class Halfback

Class prop

and possibly another player or 2 dependant on who leaves so I hope he's got something up his sleeve.

O'Meley and Fitzy will do the job.

Long could turn our to be a great signing.

Tansey is stil young and could take a few seasons, but I am confident with his experience in the NRL he will come back a better player.

Other than that they have got it right because it is all settled early, the players, fans and coach all know whats happening.

I agree, who knows who all four will turn out.

That's the key point for me transparency, as yet we've signed no one and all the rumours have dried up, so who's being signed and when is up in the air, hopefully whoever we do sign we'll all be happy with and they can do a job for us.

I feel that if we'd signed an old scrum half, one old Aussie forward, one crocked Aussie forward and a young full-back who never impressed me when he was last over here, the chairman's name would be mud - not just among certain Wigan fans, but among other RL fans too.

I agree it's better than nothing. But we haven't got nothing yet. We're bound to make a couple of signings, plus we've got the ongoing development of our youngsters, with Sam on a new extended contract and Mossop about to pitch in at full speed.

I don't think we're getting it totally wrong.

Thats what they need though, it's not just about the players the have signed, its how they have done it which impresses me.
