| The Turner deal was first rumoured a few weeks back on the Salford and Hull boards.
Since then the M.E.N have linked us with a move for him. I'd be very interested him in especially if it were a choice between him or Paul Johnson.

| Don't rate LMS as highly as many in here, didn't stand out at all on Friday.
Ratchford plays very much like Sam, a running half back, we need a creative passing organising 7.
I was all for a younger 7 (Myler for example) but considering the lack of options I think we're going to have to recruit an older quality 7 such as Orford. Not ideal as it's only a 2 year stop gap, but maybe something else will develop over the next two years allowing us then to sign a 7 closer to Sam's age building a long term partnership.
Am I right in thinking Orford, Jones and Lockyer haven't got a new deal at their clubs yet?

We all do but that doesn't mae it right.
Turner can play centre, backrow or even 6 i believe and is an up and coming talent who's injury record(over the past couple of years anyway) seems to have been very good.

However he is young, more powerful and comes with a kicking game, unlike Myler. And if Ratchford came we wouldn't have any liabilities in defence like many overseas half-backs/Myler would bring, as he and Tomkins are generally good in defence.

I think he is a good player with a lot of positives. I just feel he isn't right to be the 7 to partner Sam. We need other attributes in the 7 we sign.

Ratchford's contract is longer than Myler's - there'd be a fee involved as well.
I honestly can't see him going with Myler on his way. Will seriously take the pi$$ if we lose 3/4 of our best young players in our first year back in Super League.

| Quote Mother Feka="Mother Feka"REALISTICALLY NOW...
I would be happy next year with:
Phelps
Roberts
Gleeson
Carmont
Richards
Ratchford (heard we've offered him some big bucks + Goulding)
Tomkins
Fielden
Leuluai (cant see Riddell staying past this year after the storys about his wife)
Tronc
Hansen
Joel
O'Loughlin
Mossop
Feka
Prescott
McIlorum
Ainscough
Pryce
O'Carroll
Flanagan
Farrell
etc etc
That team would look so much better with Hock though
'"
Tronc would seem a good signing but it seems like a done deal for Wakefield. Seems we have missed another, I really hope our recruitment is done behind the scenes.
What are the Riddell wife stories, just that she is homesick or have they developed?
