| Quote: Rogues Gallery "I think Catalan missed about 25 tackles last night, Maloney must have been responsible for half of them.. You'd think Saints would be sending a lot at him next week..
On the other hand Sam Tomkins is still the best all round fullback in Superleague.'"
Agree about Sam Tomkins. He's got that natural instinct and ability you just can't teach. When he's on form he's head and shoulders above anyone in superleague. I think he's Catalans only hope against Saints.

| I commented on him after the 'Fifteens of Standish(gate)' as the girl in question is a family member. I called for him and Sam to be sacked on the spot. Shaun Wane said they were really good kids from a good family and was out of character. I got a message on here that simply said 'Gobsh&*e'. i have never expressed it before but im sure i can find it if i need to. Well rid. Hard man, i don't think so.

| Both Tomkins & Mcllorum should of seen red cards, little point having technology available to look carefully at incidents if referees continue to shy away from big but correct decisions.
Credit to Leeds for not giving up but they really deserved better from the ref.

Oh i have some cracking stories about the 2 golden boys. Sam up Wigan is a particular favourite but i won't speak about things i can be sued for. What i can't be sued for though (as i was there) is a hard nut in his thousand pound suit goading people to tackle him at an amateur rugby club thus turning his leg sideways or an older thug getting beat up by 2 doormen on the very same day he signed back for Wigan. I wonder who that could be.Stay in France nob ends

| I've always found Sam to be a genuine bloke unless you start trying to act the big one with him. Talk to him like any normal human being and he's fine. Start criticising his performances or the teams and he responds with things that people describe as him "being a dick".

Must be a generation thing. I have known Lockers from school. Not saying i am best mates with him or anything because i am not but when you critique a certain performance (a team one) he is always very constructive in his answer. A model pro who knows how to conduct himself. Future Wigan coach.

Does he want that on a night out when he's with his mates though?
I'm sure Lockers when he's had a few won't stand around why nobodies tell him he's e

I grew up playing mostly against Sam but with him for a few representative sides like the old Wigan Service Area and Lancashire at youth level and weirdly enough with him for St Pats U18s at a 0-0 draw away at Golborne, he went for a drop goal that day and the ball just stuck in the mud. Referee gave a KO
He’s always had a cockiness about him. It just came naturally to him. I always found him like you to be quite pleasant mostly but he was what you’d call a f*****g p***k to play against, grubby and giving it the big I am verbals throughout. I don’t think I’ve seen him when he’s had a few cans, once we went our separate and respective clubs at 18 we never kept in contact - not that we were close anyway mind.
Those traits though are what make him a good player IMO. That natural cockiness gives him the confidence to try things that are risky, a natural gob on a stick who isn’t afraid to say what he means and lead his team around the park even if he isn’t captain. I can see why though that some have had a bad experience with hun through those traits.

I like an arrogance in players at times yes. Especially halves.

McIlorum's grade f is presumably for trying to pick up and then dropping an injured player.
All seems fair enough to me. How long should Joel get if found guilty?

| In reflection, I haven’t changed my opinion on the high shot. MM must have know he hit Dwyer high, accidentally IMO so picking a player up who has an unknown (at the time) head injury and potential damage to the neck is certainly worth the grade F.
I can’t say i studied it in any detail, not my kind of thing. Did Joel do what is being suggested? At the time I thought he was just trying to hold Myler down but the commentary seemed pretty convinced there was more too it, Myler obviously wasn’t happy either.

| The game has made a real effort to improve the processes when it comes to head injuries and to then see a guy cause one and react by dragging the injured player to his feet before dropping him again can’t have gone down well. Micky Mac played his intimidatory role to perfection in every incident bar that one. The fact that he did that and not one Leeds player had even a word with him, showed they wanted no part of him. That’s the issue with playing on the edge though, he gets one thing badly wrong and he’ll be sat down for a number of games now.
