| I kind of feel sorry for Tierney because he never lacks effort.
But he still has a Super League Grand Final winners ring, and nobody can take that away from him.
Good luck to both of them.

| Good move for both.
Tierney played his part in GF and WCC wins. Decent on the wing but never good enough to be full back at Wigan. Surpassed by the young lads on the wing. Good move for him though.
Little disappointed we've let Gregson go, saw him potential playing loose forward in a few years time. Always done a good for us when needed, even playing 6 a lot in 2016. He'll be a superleague regular I'm sure in the coming years
Good luck to both, room for Kibula, Mullen, etc to step in.

Why should the details of any contract between the players and the club be broadcast to all?

Tierney was just too far down the pecking order, his brain darts just seemed to outweigh his good stuff. If Naverette goes and FPN, that frees up some space.'"
Agreed regarding Gregson. Realistically he would be at least three injuries away from a game in either position, with Wells, Field and maybe Hamlin ahead of him in the back row, and Shorrocks and Powell ahead of him in the halves. Not a position you want to be in at the age of 22.

| Good luck to both lads. If certain other clubs produced and recycled players of this quality the game would be far stronger.

| Hansen is a Leyther, raised and schooled in the town after his dad came over 90 ish. Kibula was schooled in Leigh and played for Leigh clubs. As stated the best kids will rightfully go to the best opportunities, at present and for a long time that has been your academies

| Dare I say it-yes.I think that Tierney improved a lot during his spell at Perpignan. In particular he learned how to catch the high ball under pressure-something Escare will never achieve.I really think he could be another Clint Greenshields for us.So thanks a lot we owe you one.

| Escare was fine under the high ball for us, certainly far better then Tierney was at fullback. After watching them both play for Wigan over the past year or two, there isn't a comparison in the quality of the two players imo but if Catalans are happier with Tierney then that's fine. I get the feeling your last coach killed Escares confidence because we were all pretty shocked by his quality when he came over. He's been brilliant for us.
Everyone's a winner.

No problem, thanks for Escare. I think it might be us who owe you

Think you've really stolen a march on a few cubs by getting Tierney. When you think about some of the dross that has played on the wing for the likes Wire (and others) recently, you realise it's not a position that SL has a wealth of talent in.
Very unlucky at Wigan (even if it's the right decision to let him go). Fully expect him to do well.
