If you don't bother to go to the game when you live in the locality then you are not really a fan and therefore your views are invalid. It's simple.:icons39ad_files/4821-1859san_c-msnicons.jpg |

| Strikes me it would be a good game to have Tierney play in, they are far from full strength, and would be good to see him get more game time to my mind.

| Sutton was pretty poor last week so I'm guessing he'll miss out, but I can't see Wane making any changes at FB considering all the time they've spent training up Tierney for the role.

He was. He made 6 drives for 16 metres which for a lad with a lot of hype around him isn't really good enough.
He doesn't get many opportunities to shine but he's certainly going to need to produce more then that if he wants to get a regular spot.

No.
Both Tomkins, Crosby and Mossop are all out.

I genuinely think you've got a good chance. The big issues for you are in the pack but we're missing three of our starting (starting 17 that is) players in the pack so that might bring that battle a little closer.
Brough is obviously a huge miss but there's plenty of quality and experience in that back line.

not really, it looks like we will have a backline of
Murphy, out of position at full back
Leroy & Jerry, but possibly on opposite sides
Jamie Foster!
and an academy lad Sam Wood in the 3/4's, with Connor also out of position at 6.
i would say the backs are going to be a totally unknown quantity, our entire left side is decimated, which leaves us vulnerable in defence.
as for the pack, yes, we still have Rapira, Hinchliffe, Lawrence(unless he plays in the backs) and patrick, but we also have 3 young lads possibly making up the numbers there.
i'd say that we are likely to be missing at least 7 who would be in the starting team tomorrow, i hope we keep it close and give a good account of ourselves, and you never know, ol big gob himself might just get too carried away and motivate us even more
i would rather have Wigan's injury problems than ours!

| Tonights result at Salford hopefully will keep us focused.
Huddersfield's injury list is much deeper than ours and you would like to think with the 2 squads listed we have a strong chance tomorrow for a win.
Hopefully SW will use Saints poor attitude tonight to avoid any complacancy on our part because Huddersfield have a point to prove after last seasons play offs.
I think we will see Burke replace Sutton from last week's squad but other than that I don't see any other changes being made.

We're certainly in better shape injury wise and you'll have a few kids out there but I look at your potential side and see enough about it to make the game a scrap.
I think a lot will depend on what attitude we turn up with.

| I feel sorry for Gildart. I thought he played really well last year and now he has just been dropped.
I would much prefer to play Sarge at full back and have Gildart at left centre. I'm not really sure what Tierney has done to deserve selection ahead of Gildart at the moment. He never ever seems confident under a high ball, we just have to be thankful that Brough isn't playing tonight.

Spot on!
How many chances does Tierney need to get at Wigan. He has far many than others in the past

| I tend to agree, but we are only one game into the season and I'm sure Gildart will feature soon enough.

I can recall Tierney playing at Widnes once and playing on the wing away at Salford last year. I'm sure he's had one or two other opportunities in between but he's hardly been given chance after chance after chance.
I'd go Sarge fullback with Gildart centre but Tierney hasn't exactly been given an extended chance to shine at any point.
