| Go on then what was bad about the officials I thought personally they did nothing wrong even with clubbs two high tackles in succession. Wire got lucky with the passes to head and body in the first try. I personally thought they let the game flow and two evenly matched sides fought it out and Wigan came out on top.

| The only disappointment for me tonight was that that game wasn't the final.
Wigan and Wire are the 2 best teams in this competition by some distance.
(and before anyone starts banging on about Saints topping the table - So did Huddersfield last year, and that didn't make *them* anywhere near the best team either).
I just hope that complacency does not set in now, as IMO, we have just played the toughest game of the play-offs.

| I agree, sensational match.
However, having been written off by everyone in RL (in particular Wigan fans ) months ago, being underdogs on Saturday, plus key players on the sidelines and having bagged some silverware already, we can go to Old Trafford and relax. The pressure is 100% on Wigan's shoulders.

| Arguably the best game of the SL era for me. I have never seen a game played at such a high intensity for the full 80 minutes.

That's why my respect for Wire last night was so huge. I couldn't believe a team had been able to limit Wigan to an 8-4 HT lead with us playing at that pace in attack and defence.
That first 40 mins from Wigan was probably the most intense effort I've seen from a Wigan side and it would have blown away the vast majority of sides from superleague and would have accounted for a decent portion of NRL teams as well IMO.
I couldn't have argued had they beat us tbh.

| Would have been a wonderful final, pity about the result, just worry that the final will be won by half time if Wigan repeat that first half effort against Stains

| After a somewhat mixed season overall for Superleague last night restored my faith that Rugby League is still the greatest game.
No complaints over the result, if Wire had won i'd had been elated as it was couldn't feel too disappointed having witnessed such a contest.
Good luck for next week.

| Best game for a number of years. Credit to both teams.
With the new structure and the new top 4 play off structure I'm hoping that there will be plenty more games with the same intensity in future seasons.

| That game last night is the benchmark in terms of intensity going forward. We need more games in our league like that to improve the game and the national team.
Hopefully the new format will help to produce more games like that.

I think the game represented the very best of Rugby League. Two teams fully committed to open rugby with tackling of the highest order, making for a very entertaining match.
Would have made a very good final, and in my opinion both teams will / would be to strong for Saints struggling with injuries in vital areas.

This is either a monumental piece of wishful thinking, or some thinly veiled bravado.
Either way, I hope this attitude extends to your team (though I suspect it won't).
Anyone going into a Grand Final in a 100% relaxed state because they've already won something could be in for a very rude awakening indeed. Last year we entered the OT arena with the Challenge Cup under our belt (not the hubcap!!!) - and trust me, that meant absolutely nothing - zero! - when we thought we were looking down the barrel of defeat.
Your lot will be just as keyed up as our lot. It's the biggest trophy in the British game, and Saints will know without needing to be told that there is nowhere to hide and no excuse you can offer if it all goes pear-shaped.
