| Quote: FIOS "Should be interesting if he trains with the Salford first team on Friday
Todays M.E.N states that Long's last match with Salford will be at Wigan on Friday night before he joins up with the Warriors. It would be most interesting to see the Wigan fans reaction if a Salford player breaks away down the wing and Long forgets himself and starts jumping up and down urging the player on. Another interesting snippet in the paper is the report that Paul Deacon has been sounded out, but has made it clear that he does not want to leave the Warriors.

If said scenario happens I would be disappointed that he wouldn't be encouraging his current team to score.

| His last game as Salford's assistant coach is this weekends game against Wigan.
I wonder if he gets his usual rousing Wigan welcome.
The extent of his coaching is ''BASH EM, JUST F*CKING BASH EM. HE'S LOW ON CONFIDENCE, BASH HIM''
He's a limited coach that won't last long term.[/quote:8f22o6ue]
....
That would make Wigan strong favourites then. With Ratchford at FB and Patton with Cronk in the halves, I think we'll do very well without Sam.[/quote:8f22o6ue]: |

hardly call them chants! quietest ones of the night that most people refused to get involved with. always going to get some hatred towards him after what has gone on but he is part of the wigan club now (or will be soon) so dont see the point in such songs. If i were a kid in the 19's id be thrilled that I was getting a coach like long to learn from.

He get's the chants as he was such a good player and he harmed us back in the day. IF he can pass some of this onto our youngsters it's a good thing.
I worry about his temperament though, let's hope he has grown up.

Romain Navarrete: “I’m very happy to have signed for Wigan Warriors. As soon I knew that Wigan were interested, they were the only team that I wanted to sign for. To me, Wigan is the biggest Club in Rugby League and it will be an honour to pull on the famous Cherry-and-White jersey next year. I look forward to working with Shaun Wane and the players at Wigan.”:d7dc4b20b2c2dd7b76ac6eac29d5604e_10172.jpg |

| If he's working for Salford tomorrow night, he should do his best to help them win.

| He's proved himself at Salford to be a good coach.
For one, we signed Matty Smith due to his improved skills and game which became apparant at the Reds. Their backs last year played some great rugby.
All that IMO was down to Longy.
He's at Wigan from Monday and he'll have my support from then on!

Whatever it was you were on when you jumped to those conclusions you should bottle it and sell it. You'd make a fortune.

It depends on what he coaches the under 19's to do.
Hope it's not this.
