| If Prescott is released then Wire and Saints never mind Salford will be kicking his front door down with a contract.
Wire have any number of 30 somethings in their squad and their pack.
Saints need an experienced prop and quickly.
Salford will buy any quality player to build a squad and Noble has coached Prescott.
I do hope that when he does return he can have a good injury free run and when its time to talk he gets another deal.

| I think Wigan would be stupid to let Prescott go......... no world beater but a solid player
I don't think S.Tomkins will leave the club until his contact says so

Assuming the rumours are true regarding Lauaki. I've left Gelling out because I don't know how long he signed for, can't see anything on the net.
Edit: just seem he signed till the end of this season with an option for an extra year, depends whether it's in the clubs favour or not I suppose

| Exciting times ahead, especially when you consider leeds/wire have a few pivot players that aren't getting any younger. Sam will go, whether it's this year or next, I think we just have to accept it, he's a young lad with ambition, I could go on and on about the salary cap and how it's the sports fault, because it is, but the fact is that he will go. Personally, with our youth development and the age of this squad, I believe that with or without Sam we are on the brink of Wigan dominance again. Star players leaving happens in all sports. Ronaldo, beckham, torres (when he was good) etc etc. Clubs get through it, nobody is irreplaceable and none of us know what IL may or may not have up his sleeve. Lets face it, SL is a poor standard, in fact it's awful outside the top 4/5. Without Sam I'm pretty confident we'd still be a top 4 team this season. Iv heard good things about Hampshire becoming a number 1, his problem will be, he'll constantly be compared to Sam by our fans if he does end up in that position, we must be patient and let his young squad grow into a champion team.

20333_1393344959.gif Current thoughts - Mago out or get running up them plantations, get fit or get rid.
Maybe a back up halfback, someone with a bit of experience on a short term deal.
Big tall strong running second rower, like a McMeekin or Sironen type back rower.:d7dc4b20b2c2dd7b76ac6eac29d5604e_20333.gif |

Hansen - Strongly rumoured to be off to NZ warriors but we'll see. Hughes I originally forgot after dropping him from centre. I've now got him in the reserves (I rate Tuson higher so far this season). Flower is going great at prop atm but I think longer term his future lies in the back row due to his great mobility and handling skills, plus his small size might hinder him at prop long term

| I thought this year was a big transition but it seems that it'll continue into next year with three of our best players leaving, Richards, Mossop and Tomkins. I do fear for the future of the squad and super league.

| Richards is confirmed to be off, I'll assume Tomkins and Hansen are too....... I'll edit my team
1) Murphy / Hampshire / Williams / Tierney
2) Charnley
3) Goulding
4) Thornley
5) Manfredi / Burgess
6) Green
7) Smith
Prescott
9) McIlorum
10) Flower
11) Hughes
12) Farrell
13) O'Loughlin
14) L.Tomkins / Powell / Carberry
15) Lauaki / Powell / Crosby / Spencer
16) Dudson / Taylor / Burke / Greenwood
17) Tuson / Gelling / Lloyd / Lever
I think losing Richards and Hansen won't have much of and affect on your squad.....
Thornley, Gelling or Goulding could cover the wing and Hughes could play more at centre......
S.Tomkins is irreplaceable but then again, giving a young kid a crack might be a good option. I hope Wigan don't sign has beens from the NRL and let the youth have a crack.
Apart from Green and Lauaki you could have an all British squad!!!! Thats unbelievable and will no doubt be good for the British game
