4486_1428087820.png Newsnight 13th May 2010: "With the role of Deputy Prime Minister a non-job. Has Nick Clegg gone from King Maker to tea maker????"
I kept the faith and I kept voting
Not for the iron fist but for the helping hand
For theirs is a land with a wall around it
And mine is a faith in my fellow man
Theirs is a land of hope and glory
Mine is the green field and the factory floor
Theirs are the skies all dark with bombers
And mine is the peace we knew
Between the wars:d7dc4b20b2c2dd7b76ac6eac29d5604e_4486.png |

DON'T OPEN IT.
It contains free Wigan Athletic tickets.'"
So that's how they were hoping to get rid of all those spare tickets?

| There'll be more Wigan Athletic fans there on Saturday than Wigan RL fans were at our last 2 Challenge Cup semi finals, quite possibly even put together. At least Latics fans have the excuse of it costing £30+ to get to the game and £30+ for a ticket (I've spent £82 so far). What excuses did Wigan fans use for not making it to Warrington at around £20 a ticket and £3.50 on the bus?

The excuse that I used was that I watched it on telly. Tesco had those spicy Pringles on spesh so it was a no brainer really.

Warrington led 16-2 in Saturday's Grand Final, but their joy was short-lived as Wigan roared back to win the Super League title and extend the Wire's 58-year wait to be champions:d7dc4b20b2c2dd7b76ac6eac29d5604e_10174.png |

| It's a trip to Wembley FFS, hardly comparable to our annual semi in Huddersfield
Wigan end at Wembley 2011 - Full.
Latics end at Wembley 2013 - 10,000 empty seats.
Simple maths really.

Let's see how many we take to the FINAL.
It's costing me £82 as I said already (2011 cost me £57 for the record) and should we win it will cost me at LEAST £100 going off previous years prices for the final in 4 weeks time. Simple maths really as you say and I can fully understand why someone would want to wait for the final.
Then of course, there's the fact that we've sold the same number as our average so no influx of day trippers which obviously swells crowd figures. How many of the 20,000 we apparently took to the 2011 final watched us all season? How many of the 30,000 expected Millwall crowd were part of the 9,084 crowd they amassed on Tuesday night?
Wigan didn't sell out for a derby against St Helens 12 miles down the road in Warrington. We also didn't sell out for a derby against Warrington in Widnes. Our two biggest games of the season in a semi final 20 minutes down the road. People in glass houses and all that.

Please don't go around confusing the issue with facts when there are EMPTY SEATS to talk about!

Especially when there's a regular thread on here regards ticket prices at £20 being extortionate. I think my ticket, coach, food and a few beers at Bradford on Sunday will cost me less than my ticket and coach to Wembley on Saturday.

I'd been to 54 cup semi finals watching Wigan RL and its the same grounds over and over again. What's the Latics fans excuse?
