| Fielden looks to be finished.
Was meant to be ready for the Cas game and now has a knee problem that won't go away according to Wane. Return date was estimated at 2-3 weeks away at the start of the year and still is now.

| Welcome back George Carmont.
Let's hope he can recapture something like the form he showed last season when he was the best centre in the comp by a country mile.
We've known for years that this man is a great professional and servant of this club, but his performances in the WCC and the Exiles game in particular last season showed what a talented athlete and rugby player this man is.
Just one more special season George, please.

not even a bad thing that he's missed games either imo, we haven't missed him particularly and the 5/6 games he's been out will keep him him from burning out or tiring come later in the season imo... all good!

My bet is he will make a come back but retire not long after. His body has took too much over the years and now its taking his toll.
Hope im wrong.

If you rotate something 360 degrees it's in the same position as it started, so 360 degree squad rotation would be the same squad as the week before.

| I would keep Jack Hughes in the team. Ordinary match last week but very strong previously, is this Wane trying to pass the blame for his screw up?
I hope he doesn't i.e. Hughes just disappear because of last week. Somebody said rested, a 20 year old doesn't need resting after 5 matches even if one week was pretty poor. Just hope he has not become a scapegoat. Wane was the one to blame even though he doesn't seem to accept any responsibility, his interview on Warriors site that he didn't play Sam etc. in case they got injured is ridiculous and then to say it could have been Sam etc. injured as Lee Mossop is, doesn't that make Mossop feel good and wanted.
Now we have a situation where Hughes is dropped and how must he feel, 1 bad match where the coach has put everybody under unwanted pressure and he suffers and Wane doesn't think he did anything wrong. I really hope I am looking at things wrongly but I would be uncomfortable working for someone who is putting the blame where it is not really appropriate.
I also hope that Mr Wane will stop talking a good game and keep intimating that Michael McGuire was not really that good, but deliver as so far he has been found wanting, so stop the talking and deliver week in week out. MM did very little talking but delivered in both the last 2 seasons from the same bunch of players who were real no hopers.

| I think Hughes will feature again this season but could need the rest as it is his 1st taste of Super League and the added intesity is somehing he would never have experienced in the u20s. I don't for one minute think he is being used as a scapegoat.
Also, may play sunday if Hansen's injury doesn't clear up.

This is more than a little OTT in my opinion. Hughes is a second row who has been filling in at centre for Carmont, no more no less, and to try and use it (Hughes not being picked) as another stick to try and beat Wane with is a little pathetic and typical of the over reaction on here at times.
I would say Hughes has done a decent job filling in but has been no better than average and overall he has looked fairly limited at centre and was very poor last week, the first time he has had to play against a proper out and out centre and a fairly poor one at that in Marsh. Carmont has been our best centre for the last number of years and was always going to get his place back when fit, indeed if we werent playing Widnes he would have probably played last week anyway. Carmont needs to come back into the team at some point and with Warrington next week London is the perfect game to get some match fitness again.

| Hughes has done well but a little rest from the pace and pressure of first team rugby now will do him no harm. We found a big weakness in him last week in defending at centre against a player with fast and good footwork in Marsh. He couldn't cope so thats something he needs to go away and work on if centre is to be his long term position.
I personally feel he's a back rower but it won't harm the lad at all by being able to play in a couple of positions.
