Buses - 8:05am
Wigan area - Services are limited to main roads only, services currently operating: - Service 540 - but unable to serve Castle Hill or Long Lane, using 559 route between Hindley and Westhoughton.
Service 600 - Main roads only
Service 610 - To Carr Lane only
No other services currently operating in the Wigan area.
We will continue to review road conditions and resume services along main roads when it is safe to do so, service 598 currently being reviewed.

Stuck on the M6 for 5 hours last night without moving an inch. The worst bit is it was at Gathurst - about 1.5 miles from my house. I was trying to pick my daughter up from Lpool airport, she got diverted to Manchester and is stuck there now. No trains running. Just tried to get onto the M6 to get to Manchester and its down to 2 lanes again between Standish and Orrell - so the traffic is backing all the way back up into Standish. Don't fancy trying to get up Redrock to go via the M61 so she's stranded.

Trains to Manchester are running - my daughter left Wigan for work in Piccadilly an hour ago. She arrived about 11.00 last night and I couldn't pick her up, and no taxis, so she had a nice walk home! |
