I was surprised when they announced the attendance yesterday - seemed a lot more on from where I was stood.

I was there for the Bradford game and they said 6500 when there was more like 8000+ in.

Maybe Wakefield need the money for the new ground ???

I don't understand why people think club's manipulate figures. Can anyone explain the benefit too the club?

For a start, it has an effect on the cap, and it makes them look bad...why bother?

Thought our support was poor to be honest, maybe people are going to the cup game rather than the league one?

But cup game is on tv, so that may put a few off?

I thought there was more than that on , on Sunday, but if we are being honest the cup game will have a lower attendance. Season ticket holders who have families will not suddenly pay for 2 adults and 2 kids ( just an example) when it costs so much and especially when it is free on terrestrial TV.

Kids season ticket holders get in free to the game, but adults will still need to pay. Will that be enough to tempt?

Weather could be a big factor, if it rains it will deffo put a lot of people off.

I will be there pal , don't worry about that. I was really expressing concern about the number of home fans who cannot afford the price for a family ( not just at Wakey but at all Challenge cup games). The Challenge Cup/RL really do need to offer as many incentives as it can to get the fans into the grounds. Times ARE hard and people who have shelled out for season tickets do find it hard to suddenly find the cash for a family of 3 or 4 or even more for a cup game. Especially if it is on the telly.

Totally agree, I know quite a few people that are thinking about watching the game on TV to save some money for a game when it's not on tv

I will be at the game as I am at every home game and most away games. The only away games I miss are Catalan and Magic weekend for the first time.

I thought they may have got 7k on or so but they're playing each other twice in a couple of weeks for one thing but to be fair attendances will continue to come under pressure. A lot of people have lost their jobs and many of those that haven't are often hanging on to their money because they are frightened about what might be round the corner ........
