| Shame Gildart is dropped, I'd rather him play than Sarginson and I'd rather Shorrocks play than Smith but we all know Sarginson and Smith are Wane's favourites, apart from that, that's our strongest squad of the year I'd say, glad Farrell is back,
Our 1-7 are all fit and our pack is pretty strong, pretty confident of a win tbh

Would have to disagree on this one- Gildart dropped about three or four last week, botched the easy ball to Tierney in the semi and has generally looked a little tired to me. Sarginson is better on the left as well.
Not as confident we will win as well, I woukd have to back Cas in this one if I was looking at it objectively.

| You'd have to say it's probably the strongest "on paper" squad we've managed to put out this season. Tierney and a prop to drop out would be my guess but it'll be interesting to see which one. Sutton wasn't selected last week, anyone know if this was an injury or just dropped?
It'll be interesting to see who takes on the goalkicking. Presuming it will be Smith again but he obviously didn't fancy it last week with Charnley having a go (appallingly) and then Shorrocks. Every one Shorrocks took was pretty much bang in front I'd have though Smith would want to get his numbers up! Also sounds like we're going to need to start thinking about a new full time kicker for 2017 anyway.

| Gildart has done well, but there are signs he's earned a rest for a while.

| It's easy to forget with Gildart that he's just turned 20 and is only in his first full season in the first team because he's played some big games for us. I agree he's looked a little jaded and it seems a sensible move to me to pull him out of the fire for a week or two. He's played an awful lot of games this year for such a young kid.

| Well that worked well didn't it. Gelling has not played for weeks and Wane doesn't pick a single back on the bench so was obviously going to play him for 80 minutes regardless of the injury to Manfredi. How daft was that? Gells has never come back from a layoff looking fit and so what did Wane expect?
He may as well of put a sign on the front of Gells shirt that said "run at me" and by the sound of it that is what Cas did.
Add to that a bench packed with forwards meant there was no variation possible with Powell doing the 80 again such as bringing Shorrocks on and you can put that result down to another fine example of inept coaching from Wane.

| Cas were by far the better side, and if anything the score flattered us. Even though their last score looked a bit dodgy.

It can't of been or Sam would have complained to the ref.

Even the bloke on the radio with Bilko (can't think of his name) was livid with Sam last night. At one point he went to have another go at the ref and Smith had to pull him away. Needs to cut it out its completely wasted energy; when has a ref ever changed his mind because a player has had a whinge?

Agree completely mate, Sam is such a great player when he's concentrating on his game and not his imagined bad treatment. I've always thought that Danny Mcguire has never been given recognition by opposing fans because of his reputation for whining and Sam is risking the same. Hope he can sort himself out and he could still be remembered for all the good things in his game.
