| Whilst I'm sure it was a bad one for him to come out with that, yet again Nathan Brown comes out with"Officials have got to start doing something about it or you've got to tell your players to do it.
"The next time we play them and they start hitting high, I'll be instructing my players to do something about it, unless the officials start doing something about it. The referees are there to protect the players."'"
He more or less said the same last year. I think it's a bit poor and it's not needed.
In addition he could get into serious bother if one of his "enforcers" harmed an opposition player. It's a green light to say "The coach told me to do it".

I think IL should consider every option on this.

| Were those quotes from after tonights game or after the game against Wigan last year? Did he go on to threaten unleashing Big Earl and Faiomou (sic)?
BTW, I'd have him at Wigan and think he'd take it if offered.

If it was a coach already from Super League why not. Especially as the way his and Madge's teams play are very similar.

| I'd consider Brown for the coaching job - but only if he got rid of the Disco Stu open shirts and dodgy suits. The only thing missing is a big medallion and hairy chest.

| Nathan Brown is a cracking coach but i'd stay clear as I can't see him being around too long term either. He may well be off home to St George anyway at the end of this season according to rumour.

| Quote: AJ "Has apparently had enough of Leeds and their "tactics"
Good to see someone finally calling Bailey on his b*ll, but I expect this will cost him a few £££.
Interestingly Sky didnt show this brawl, but managed to show Lima's
If you saw what happened tonight you would know the context. Giants completely out played Leeds who then just seemed intent on taking Kevin Brown out
they were trying to target Brown from the first minute of the second half. Was taken late after the pass No penalty, Leulai tried to take his head off should have been binned, Bailey's assault on him, then when he tackled Webb , Webb got up and pushed him straight in the face. They were the ones i saw and i reckon there were more.
With so many players involved i reckon the HT team talk by McDermott was "GET BROWN by fair means or foul".
Leeds were really embarrassing tonight. They just stopped playing Rugby and semed to be trying to take our players out. Thaler seemd more intent on policing offside rather than dealing with some dirty and niggling play from Leeds then it all blew up.
Have to say i know Kevin Brown is from Wigan but he was so brave ( and skilful ) tonight that his family and friends who stil live over there should be very proud of him. He never took a backward step when Bailey and Senior were both laying into him.

Didn't Brown say something very similar about Wigan last season? I seem to remember him saying something like he wasn't going to be responsible for his players actions next time they played us.
I don't mind him having a pop at what went on aginst Brown but threats of dire retribution are best kept in the changing room. I think he will realise this after the RFL react to that statement.

| Baileys a cheap shot merchant with no class and less talent.
Fully agree with Brown on that score. He comes out with some cracking comments that people in positions of power probably shouldn't but he makes life interesting.

Yes the RFL will go and ensure he is in front of the discipinary panel this time. After all its Leeds you know that once might side that is falling to bits. They did sod all when he said it last season. RFL does the L stand for Leeds. They get away with more than we ever did and i bet next season if they keep going backwards the RFL will let them start with 15 players and be reffed by Ryan Bailey.
