The other chaps were Ian Lucas, Richard Russell and Ged Byrne.

Thanks .......... so where were Lydon, Kiss, Potter, West and Edwards ? I believe Goodway now lives in Queensland, so probably too far to travel.

At the game were Ged Byrne, Richard Russell, Andy Gregory, Ian Gildart, Brian Case, Ellery Hanley, David Stephenson, Henderson Gill and Ian Lucas (as well Wane and Hampson's daughters).
Missing (from the pic in the Observer anyway) were Joe Lydon, Shaun Edwards, Nicky Kiss, Andy Goodway, Ian Potter and Graeme West.

Wasps had a game on the same day, which is presumably why Edwards couldn't make it. |

Ian Potter was like Harrison Hansen is now. Not a spectacular player, but tackled everything, and you didn't half miss him if he wasn't there.
He was one of those players where you only realised his quality when he was absent. |
