I've come across little arrogance to be honest. Experience has taught us not to be.......
Theres a cracking thread on here though where certain Wigan fans are demonstrating exactly what arrogance is about. You've had one good season in a decade and you're all out of the woodwork again.
Heres to a great game on Saturday, its good to have the derby back on the big stage.

I agree with them, they have far more big game experience than us, and it will be an advantage to them if it rains as their pack is bigger and their team less mobile.

Its not arrogance by our fans, its a response to your fans and their belittling of us because of out recent lack of honours in recent years, your fans think they are better than us in some quarters, so we will naturally not allow this to go unchallenged, you must surely understand that ?
I think at the end of the day we are all delighted to have the big game on the big stage, and a little bit of banter pre match will add to the build up, so long as its within the rules  |

come on now mate, the hunger in the eyes of that team on Saturday, they would have sold their granny's to bring this trophy home to match our other fine trophy already in our cabinet.
It would indeed be a grave matter of deep regret, should Sn Tellins end the season potless after all their claims post season and indeed in the build up to this game, that would just be terrible, and we ought to be cautious wedo not hurt their feelings if this happens by reminding them of this fact |

It's not a fact unfortunately, but nor is 4 GF losses in a row.
Yet!
TBH, losing on Saturday wouldn't hurt anything like as much as the recent losses (especially 08 and 09) as I don't think there's another team that would have managed to reach the GF without both first choice halves and key strike players.
Can't see Leeds without Burrow/McGuire, Wigan without Tomkins/Leuluai, Hudds without Brough/Brown or Wire without Briers/Monaghan making the same impact. A win would be a huge bonus, a loss and I'm still very proud of the effort that's gone into this season and much to look forward to next year.

There will be just as much desire on either side on Saturday. I honestly think some Wigan fans are very overconfident. It will be a battle on Saturday and Saints will not be easy to beat at Old Trafford for a 4th consecutive occasion. Saints have the stronger pack and in any game of rugby, a strong pack and good kicking game is very tough to beat. It genuinely is on a knife edge for me and is too close to call.

Its not very becoming to make your excuses for defeat, before you have actually lost the game, it just smacks of covering all bases and shows that you believe Wiggin will win, which will be music to our ears.
So long as, heaven forbid, if you win, you do not come on gloating that you knew all along you would win, because that would be very obvious double dipping ( sorry for the pun ) and we cant have that, with respect.
