If so Warrington or Stains?'"
Not till week 3 in the play offs.
In week 1 we WILL Play whoever finishes 4th at DW Stadium.
If we win that we get a week off if not we have to play again.

| So if we have a home game in Week 1 of the playoffs, and Latics are at home to Sunderland on Saturday 11th September, can I safely assume we will be playing on the Sunday in case we 'mess up the pitch'?

No, we'll be playing at Widnes.

Well we do have a home game in week one now barring a minor miracle so I guess it all depends on how flexible Sky are with their schedulings. The problem is the loser of any potential sunday game has a much shorther turnaround to week two so I'm guessing the fourth placed team wouldn't be happy about that.
all indications are that we will be on the road again to pander to our less well supported cousins. Lets see what Whelan's excuse is this time.

| There will be some major issues arise should be not get home advantage because of Whelan.
As good as our deal is at that Satdium and as good as the Stadium is, a lot of effort would just go down the pan.
I'm quite confident that to get to the final we will have to beat Leeds at home, doing that is a completely different task than away from home.
Also think Saints will play Warrington another 3 times before the GF.

| latics are relegation fooder, we are top of the league and potential champions, really they should move their game to the Sunday so we can play on the Friday, lets face it, its not as if latics pass the ball around, a scrappy pitch won't effect a long ball!!

| Now that we know we are top of the league I think the club needs to make an announcement on our first play off game scheduled for September 10th as soon as possible.
If we have to move stadiums to accommodate the Latics there's going to be a massively negative reaction from the Wigan RL fans, and rightly so.

| We can just play it on the Sunday. Its only Sky that can force us to play it at any other time. Surely TV shouldn't be able to dictate the potential outcome of a match?
If there anyway we could drop IL a line to see what the situation is?

Its Sky that are to blame here if we have to play it on the Friday when we can simple play it on the Sunday.

| It's not sky that "force us", thats just the way it is set out by the RFL. They set it so the highest ranked time gets more rest advantage. I'm not aware that a switch can't be accomodated. We didn't have the choice to switch in 2008 because Catalans v Warrington was the other game and that was never going to be a Friday night game in France.
