Ellis coming back is huge, we really need that boost to our pack. Singleton would drop out for me, but will more likely be Mago.

Hoping KPP comes back firing aswell and we could do with that too, not holding my breath though. I wouldn't even mind N'Semba taking that starting second row spot as he continues to impress but again i see that being unlikely and probably best not to have Hill and N'Semba in the same team if we can avoid it.

Havards injury is a pretty huge blow, especially a week out from a semi but it could’ve been worse. I’d bring Ellis, KPP and Hill in for Havard, Singleton and Cust and go-

My thought process when i came to picking the team was as you say, too many inexperienced forwards if i was to drop him. It's a tough one as he really does bring nothing but experience. The alternative is to bring 2 second rows onto the bench otherwise though which i just can't justify when we are struggling so much in the pack as it is.

I dunno about anyone else, but watching Wire/Saints on TSLS last night, it struck me we need to improve a hell of a lot if we hope to beat either again this season.

Think I’d use Smithies as a prop with K P-P available

It’s definitely an option. It went under the radar just how good he was on Friday because the forward pack as a collective were poor. Guys like him and Brad O’Neill couldn’t have done much more to try and motivate the props around them to join in but to little avail. I looked at Smithies stats and he made 128 metres from 15 carries and 46 tackles. He could certainly walk away with his head held high.

8 missed tackles for Shorrocks last week and only 5 metres a carry after 4 metres a carry the week before.

I’d reduce his role and play him on the bench covering 9 (can’t do any less than Cust).

Agree with Boredwiganers team.

Havards injury is gutting, we struggled mightily without him and will have to do another month.

If we scrap through the semi he could get back for the final though.


Smithies did great at prop last week, Ruben Cotter style.

French needs to move from the halves, he isn't a stand off. Fullback or wing. Field in the halves.

I'd just throw KPP in for Joe Shorrocks and obviously Ellis will go in for Havard. Hill for Singleton might be a shout but not sure that one makes too much difference.

This could be a very tough one - Warrington will be up for a bit of revenge and played very well against St Helens. Williams comes back as well.

I'd like to see French and Field switch places in attack as I've said for many weeks now but don't think it will happen. At least Bevan had some nice moments against Wakefield. There were some positives from the game but the way we lost was completely unacceptable - we have to get these dumb moments out of our game.

I would put French back out wide and see if Henry Paul fancies a gig at .6 for a month.

I jest of course, but you can see by that silly post where a big problem lies.

Rumour has it that King is back with us next season. Should be interesting.

Think this is well past a rumour at this point mate, even sky was confirming it last week.

I am not sure how he will perform for you guys to be honest, as he seems like he really doesn't want to be there.
