| Time for the kids to step up.
Wells would be ideal if fit, otherwise it's probably going to be Paisley's opportunity.

| I'd imagine Isa will start and Farrell's replacement will be off the bench.

| We'll probably see Isa play there, which is far from an exciting prospect. He'll probably be dependable and solid I guess, but I'd like to see Wells (is he injured again as I thought he was going to be back for the start of the season?) or Paisley get a chance. Maybe Hamlin will be considered too. If he hadn't been loaned out to Workington then Caine Barnes could have been worth a shout too.

| I agree with Cherry Pie, I think Gabe could do some damage running more on the edge, he is quick enough and his defence is good. Where the real problems lie will be the lack of understanding in defence on our right edge with Davies, Gilly, possibly Sammut and Isa/ whoever all strangers to each other.

| I think we should dip in to the transfer market and bring H back from Widnes as cover. He can still cut it at the top level and would add depth to the squad

Wembley 85 was like CP 87. was away in the Navy for 91 but managed 2017 and Sunday night, both were great events and promoted Rugby League, Wigan and the Roosters on the world stage, i think your not a Wigan fan..??

Im not a Wigan fan because i dont want to see Farrell out for 4 months and i dont think we should bother playing the WCC in January and it should be played after the GF whilst both clubs have the same teams/coaches? Good one.

| Injuries are part of the game. Nobody wants to see a player get hurt and miss part of the season but it’s a part of life in RL. It’s why we have a squad and not just 17 players.
The game was well worth losing a player for 4 months, as sad as it is. Commercially, it was great for the club, performance and experience wise it was a great night for the club. Farrell is a cracking back rower and it’s a shame he’ll miss a few months but the positives far outweigh the negatives.

| Losing Farrell for a big chunk of the season seems to be par for the course these days, regardless of what matches he's played in.

If we want someone from Widnes I would be looking at Sam Walters who played for England v Australia academy in December, a big fast 2nd row.
Ben Kilner could do a very good job in that position as could Liam Paisley and/or a fit Jack Wells.
To The_Enforcer. Maybe players shouldn't train or play in friendlies (Luke Gale, Kevin Brown)

Your posts are getting ever more ridiculous. Players get injured. Should we play any games at all just in case they do? Is it somehow better they get injured at Salford or Hull KR than in the biggest game of the year against the Roosters playing for the WCC? Ask Manfredi or Burgess where they would rather be playing. What about Cup games in front of a few thousand? Shouldn't we cancel rather than risk players there? Friendlies? Training? What exactly should we be cancelling in order that players don't risk injury?
As for trying to change the emphasis to 'it should be played at the end of the season'... Do you think we're stupid and can't see what you're doing? No one... and I mean absolutely no one... has ever disagreed with that. You wanted it cancelled because we might get beat. At least have the courage to stand up for your beliefs instead of this blatent attempt to soften your stance.

Another vote for Kilner here Rogues. I thought he looked ready for a shot in the friendlies and was on a par with Bullock who has stepped up nicely. Like Joe, he certainly wouldn't struggle for size!

Sign someone who keeps getting injured (in recent years, his record isn’t great, I don’t think?) with someone who has shoulders made of biscuits and is past his best by a good 4 or 5 years?
