Wigan Warriors have today named a 19-man squad for the first BIG ONE clash with Warrington Wolves.
Sean O’Loughlin is included in the squad and will make his 400th appearance for the Wigan Club becoming only the 11th player to do so. O’Loughlin will join Bill Francis on 400 games, joint tenth in the list of most appearances for Wigan Rugby League Club.
Liam Farrell is ruled out with a knee injury with Liam Marshall recalled in the only change to the squad that beat Catalans 32-10 in Perpignan last weekend.
The Warriors host Warrington Wolves at the DW Stadium on Thursday evening ahead of the Club’s official Golf Day at Shaw Hill Golf Club on Friday 14th with a Warriors Live Roadshow at Market Place in Wigan Town Centre on Saturday 15th.
Wigan then face off against Leeds at the DW Stadium on Friday 21st July with the week culminating in the 2017 Fan Day at Fairhurst Accountants Community Stadium on Saturday 22nd.

| Will be harsh on Davies if he is dropped for Marshall; nearly 200m from 22 carries against Catalans. Might just be rested but we know he's got a great engine so should be able to back up against Wire.

But then you take into account Marshall's record against Wire this season, incredible strike rate.
Very tough call to make.

| I'd have to go with Marshall but it's a great problem to have. We need Davies to improve his finishing (like Marshall) and Marshall to improve his yardage from defence (like Davies). Then we'd really have a problem on our hands!
Davies looked a bit shaky under the kicks against Catalan and that might just tip the nod to Marshall.

| Marshalls record against Wire is too good to turn down. He's probably going to be superleagues young player of the year yet it's a sign how good Davies is that I'm torn.
Just Marshall for me but both he and Burgess will need to keep performing with a lad like Davies snapping at their heels. I watched the replay of Saturday earlier and you could see how much the other players appreciate Davies when they ran to him to congratulate him on a tough carry which won a penalty in the second half.

| What's all this 'Big One' your club is hyping the Warrington game up with? I always thought your 'Big One' was always against St Helens rather than Dire, a club currently languishing with the deadmen in the bottom four.

It's called "marketing". They are doing it with Leeds too.
Perhaps other clubs should give it a go. They might get bigger crowds and then where will it all end up?

The 'big one' is a concept Wigan came up with a few years back. In the past it has been against Warrington, Leeds & Huddersfield amongst others. Just marketing a game of rugby.

| Surprised Currie is back for this when Manfredi is still out yet Currie did his ACL 5 weeks after Dom.

| Must have been worse. Some seem to come back in 6 months yet others take 12 months plus. Hopefully we're just not rushing Manfredi and when he's back he'll be 100% ready.
Great to see Currie back as well by the way. A top young player and hopefully he's got enough time (after Thursday) to get back in top gear and make the England World Cup squad.

Would rather not risk Manfredi to be honest. Give him a full off season so he can be in top shape for February.

I get you but I'm sure if the lad is fit he'll not want to be held back. Give a lad who's been out for 12 months the news that you're keeping him wrapped in cotton wool for another 7 months and I doubt he'll be best pleased!
He may not get a spot anyway but we know how good he is and if he's right and the opportunity comes, then he should be given the chance.

| i'd like to think that Dom will be held back until the super 8s at the very earliest.

| I am sure I seen a some point last week that the club/Wane said that Manfredi along with J Tomkins are around four weeks away. So that would take them to game 1 or possibly game 2 in the super 8's.
