| Feel a little better looking at that squad (assuming both play).
If we can get through the game without any additional injuries and then both Lockers & Powell come back in for Newcastle then perhaps we may give Wire something to think about.
I'd heard Powell's was a bad one so that's a bonus!

| It will be tough playing against Swinton in their cup final. McIlorum, L.Farrell and J.Tomkins need to lead us forward as senior players. Hopefully the 'wrecking ball' will pull his finger out too.

| Probably the ugliest set of tries you will ever see scored in one game. Got through- all that mattered today.

| So how would you rate that effort? I could not make it today. How did the young lads do? Did we really have Joel at stand off?

| Young lad's did well and stood up well to a Physical Swinton team.
My only worry in recent weeks is Willie Isa . Like him as a player but seems to want to go fighting every week . Suspensions is the last think we wasn't at the moment. Good day out love these old low capacity grounds where you feel that you are on the field with the players .

I loved his aggression tbh. It was a nothing incident that got blown up by the Swinton bench moaning for a penalty from a perfectly legal tackle. After that it was just push and shove and I was stunned both players got ten minutes.
I thought Isa was huge for us yesterday. You get a different perspective on a small ground where you can hear the challenges and some of his were scary! He absolutely whacked a few of the Swinton players.

For sale full Saints kit (circa 1989). Shirts in pristine condition, but shorts badly soiled.
For 27 - 0 you get a trophy
For 75 - 0 you get sod all.
Wigan had eight in a row
Saints have five in a row:d7dc4b20b2c2dd7b76ac6eac29d5604e_3076.jpg |

| What a great testament to the Wigan academy system.
Thirteen players in the Wigan team, and (I think) seven in the Swinton side.

Job done ,really, not much more. TBH I thought the scoreline flattered us, some of our tries were a bit lucky, opportunistic rather than created, and with a bit more composure they should have scored maybe two or three more tries.
Still, with the side we had out, it's the result that counts. The youngsters were terrific, yet again, I thought Ganson in particular stood out when he came on.

Considering George only pulled out before the kick off I thought Joel did particularly well. In fact I had him as Man of the Match. He showed what a good footballer he is. Ryan Sutton did a good stint, as did Faz.

Agree NK. He was penalised for a perfectly good tackle and Swinton lad deserved a slap for his nonsense but the red mist is coming down a bit too often and ref's a going to target him methinks .

Went to the game as a neutral (almost) yesterday, Really enjoyed it. Great testament to your clubs youth system and management. Fantastic to see Shaun Wane after the game go to every Swinton player (including subs) and shake their hand. He loves Wigan but seems to be a great Sportsman ! There are a lot of people are working hard with limited resource to revive Swinton and in my opinion Wigan's visit will have really helped. Great day out.

It was a really enjoyable afternoon. It is a pleasant ground and the staff treated us well. I hope that Wigan's visit helped to make some money for Swinton - a great name from Rugby League's past.
I was watching Waney after the game. I think he enjoys the company of the young lads. A lot of the Swinton players will be known to him of course. Wigan treated the game properly and respected the opposition, who had a real dig, to be fair.
