How well does the Park and Ride from the
Trafford Centre to the Salford ground work.
Can anyone recommend it?.

Pretty sure it's not in operation anymore and hasn't been for a good few years.

Am after the best place to park for Thursday. Never been before.

Probably at the ground itself, can't see too many being there. They have a decent sized car park there, other than that you could park on other side of M62 and walk the rest of way, prob take 15 mins.

Eccles Rugby Club is decent for parking. It's about a 15 minute walk to the ground and you get to help support a mature rugby league. The clubhouse is normally open to have a couple of drinks and some grub as well.

They don't offer matchday parking now. They announced it on twitter sometime today.

Salford is by some distance the worst ground to get away from after the game. When you actually get in the ground it always looks as though there are twice as many cars as fans!!!

I think it's case of just parking up and forgetting about trying to get away early, though to be fair, they do seem to have improved the stewarding in recent years.

I'm looking forward to this one. I expect a win. Though it will be interesting to see how Todd Carney goes. I don't suppose he thought he would see out his career playing in front of a few thousand hardy souls each week. Still, he only has himself to blame for that. I commend Koucash for taking a punt on an undoubted talent nevertheless.

Will Carney play against us?

When they signed him they said it would take a few weeks to get his Visa through and I've not heard either way about that yet.

Don't think you need to worry about Todd Carney as as far as I know his visa decision is still pending. Even if it comes through I can't see him being in any position ro play any sort of role in the game as he'll be nowhere near match fit.

And thanks for the spelling lesson. I rather admire Koukash for sticking with things at Salford. He was genuinely thrilled to win that last game and he seems to enjoy Rugby League which of course he was new to. It would have been very easy for him to concentrate on Racing, which lets face it, would give him far fewer problems. Salford deserved to retain SL status last season because the docking of six points had nothing to do with the current players or coach.

I expect you to be strong enough to push for the top 8 this year, but for the sake of the game, it would be great if Salford got a few more people through the turnstyles (though I gather it is not for lack of trying on MK's part)
