| Don't get me started on this .. The finance company that they use is an absolute joke . Applied for one in October and been passed from pillar to post by them until last week . We got accepted by the finance company , but on wigans end it kept coming up declined . 1st payment went out of the bank a couple of weeks ago and we have had to screenshot a picture of the bank statement and send it to wigan to prove we have started paying all because the finance company couldn't be bothered to ring wigan up themselves and explain the situation to them ...
At least 10 times we were told on different occasions that it had been sorted .. finally after nearly 2 months it's in the process of being sent out to us .
I'll definitely be paying outright next season . Not putting up with all that again

What is going on?
You would like to think that one of the biggest clubs in SL and with all it's staff and resources at it's disposal that it would be able to handle such a mundane task of organising season ticket sales,What next the catering staff not ordering the pies?

| I am not sure what is going on at the club but the sponsors, new shirt, season tickets are a complete shambles.
been into the warriors shop today no sign of new kit, may have some away shirts next weekend I was told. if they cannot get them shirts out in time for xmas who ever is responsible should be shot.
how can we one of the biggest RL clubs in the works continuously struggle to get a sponsor when no one else seems to have this problem, and to not get the shirts out before xmas is criminal. I cant imagine there is junior wigan fan out there (and probably most adults) that does not wake up on xmas morning with their new wigan shirt.
it will cost the club a fortune if they don't get these shirts out on time....... and then my lads season ticket has still not arrived......very very poor from Wigan.

It's like this every year so I'm not surprised. What I am surprised is that the club keep asking the fans on their opinions on how to improve yet they never act on it, in fact it appears to get worse!

Yes ours came in the post yesterday, just two tickets in an envelope thought we were supposed to get a welcome pack with them like that news article on the website when the players delivered a new season ticket pack to a lucky fan, or perhaps the pack comes later , no letter thanks for renewing etc just the two plastic cards, not impressed.

Same here, just two tickets, no covering letter, no welcome pack, nothing. Strange.
Just on the shirts. How much revenue are the club losing? By my reckoning it must be a six figure number on shirt sales before xmas. Every other club seems to manage it, even the Salford basket case has its' shirt out, with a multi national sponsor, in time for xmas.
By the time the shirts are in the shop people will have spent up. Very poor.

| Really bad. It's the same every year though, think they only got the shirts before Christmas last year because someone went to Italy in a minivan to pick them up.
It's amazing we're such a big club considering it's ran by absolute amateurs.

That is a ridiculous statement without knowing the facts.
When was the sponsorship agreement finally signed?
How much is sponsorship worth?
When was the shirt design finally agreed?
Is there a problem with manufacture/delivery?
I would that think that until the sponsorship was agreed and signed than the shirt release couldn't happen.

I think most people would be happy to forgive the club if it happened once but it's turned into a complete saga consistently over the past 4 or 5 years. We had the last minute thing with Houses for Homes which meant we got a sticker as the main sponsor which peeled off very easily. Last year they got a batch before XMas by the skin of their teeth because they drove over to collect them and this year we still don't have a release date by 15th December.
I have to admit that Wigg'n's comment of the club being run by amateurs is way OTT, but you have to think something is being done wrong when it comes to shirt sponsorship and release.

All irrelevant.
If Wakefield and Salford can manage it I'm sure it's not exactly a hard task.
Literally the basics of business is putting a product in front of your customers and we fail to do it repeatedly. Other clubs will sell thousands before ours have even made it to the club shop and as mentioned people are skint after Christmas so it'll cost us plenty. I'm sure the long awaited sponsor is contributing so much that it makes up for it though... right?

I'm sure that there are perfectly logical reasons behind all this but what annoys me is that the club has failed to do what the other 11 Super League clubs have achieved.
When we were all told that schlepping down to Millwall was for the good of the club we swallowed it. And yet - far from getting increased sponsorship and improving the marketing of the club we SEEM to be going backwards.
Please, someone tell me I'm wrong (because I really don't want to be right about this)
