| We now have nine Super League games to go before the split with six of them away from home.
Catalans are the first followed by Leeds (n) Huddersfield, St Helens, then Salford at home. After that we go to Warrington then Leeds and Widnes at home ending with Hull FC away.
It is now time to change matters and form to ensure we start winning away matches.
So far we have just the one away win at Wakefield, one draw, the rest lost. To turn matters arounds there needs to be a change in the way everything is prepared for away trips.
It is obvious that whatever the current system is, it isn't working. If we only get one further win before the split the we'll struggle to make the top four.
The C Cup is now gone. We lost to a SL team at a neutral venue, they were better than us on the night as they had been at their ground earlier in the season. HKR have won two of the three games against us this year yet the aggregate score is ridiculously in Wigan's favour.
The improvement away from home has to be dramatic.
If we get it wrong then the season will again not produce any trophies.
Get it right and we most certainly have the squad to win the LLS and the GF. We are currently second in the SL and a turn around in away results can see us kick on to win a trophy maybe two.
The season's outcome depends on the improvement in performance and results away from home starting on Saturday in Perpigan.
I do hope it can come right as we have seen some great rugby and spectacular tries at home this year, lets take this further and play to win as away trips demand!

What are your suggestions or any other Wigan fans for that matter, are we playing the wrong players, wrong system or players in what is not there natural position.
I will admit I do not go to many matches especially at home, I have seen Wigan play more away since they left Central Park.
I am still a fervent supporter of Wigan even though I do not go a lot ,but I am going on Wednesday on my own on one of the club trips to the Catalan .
But what I can say is there is something not right with Wigan at the moment with the form difference when at home or away.
Is it because every team expects they will have to do more defending when away and Wigan are not up to it or is Wane to set in his ways in not changing a team to suit the situation.

| Discipline is a major one for me away from home. We seem to turn in to petulant children and they can't seem to concentrate on the job in hand for wanting to play push and shove.
One thing is for sure-We'll need to be squeaky clean to get anywhere near a fair share of the penalty count this Saturday! I really think Saturday could be a season maker if we can win. It's the toughest away game really so for a side who's struggled away from home to go and win would be huge for confidence.

| The games we have lost seem to generally be categorised by errors and penalties, they become a cycle as the players get more and more frustrated. The opposition players and fans naturally do everything they can to wind them up further, then of course when they're stood under the sticks after conceding they generally get slated by their own 'fans', It all brings on more frustration which in turn leads to more errors and penalties. I think Huddersfield were the first team to do this to us effectively, other teams have caught on now though.
It comes down to mentality for me, the fans (both of the opposition and our own) aren't going to change overnight and stop slating them, the opposition aren't going to stop winding them up, so our lads need to find it in themselves to keep cool heads in adversity. I think Wane needs to think about this as well. You can see from how he is watching the games that he sometimes lacks composure and lets his emotions rule him. He also tends to blame the ref rather than the players when we are on the wrong end of the penalty count. I worry that these traits may rub off on our team, particularly as most of the players are young and/or have been coached by Wane from academy level.

| It's in the head for me, got to be mentally stronger away from home, Saturday will tell us a lot, last season was one of best performances for me.

Wane must really like the spotlight, since he seems to insist on doing the other sides team talk for them as well as his own.
He really ought to focus on fixing his own teams attitude away from home. If they can't cope with playing in a different stadium in the Wigan borough with a 90% share of the spectators, I struggle to see how they will cope in that cauldron in Perpignan. That said, they proved me wrong last year.

| Absolutely. Discipline and attitude will need to be spot-on to get a result there.

Wigan Warriors have today named their 19-man squad for this weekend's game with Catalans Dragons.
The Cherry and Whites travel to Perpignan looking for their seventh win in eight games against the French outfit.
Liam Farrell misses out after suffering a badly broken nose and damaged cheekbone in last week's defeat to Hull KR with Rhodri Lloyd coming into the squad. Lloyd will compete with Larne Patrick for Farrell's spot in the starting line-up.
Sean O'Loughlin and Josh Charnley are both fit and retain their places in the squad, as does Ben Flower who looks set to play in the game having shaken off a hamstring strain.
Shaun Wane admitted earlier this week that he is considering tinkering with his side: "There will be changes, I'm not sure what just yet, I'm still going through the game and having individual chats with the players."
Wigan Warriors 19-Man Squad
John Bateman, Matty Bowen, Joe Burgess, Josh Charnley, Dom Crosby, Ben Flower, Ryan Hampshire, Rhodri Lloyd, Michael McIlorum, Lee Mossop, Sean O'Loughlin, Larne Patrick, Sam Powell, Dan Sarginson, Matty Smith, Ryan Sutton, Taulima Tautai, Joel Tomkins and George Williams.
Referee - James Child

| I'd leave Powell and Hampshire out but I think it will be Sutton and Hampshire.

| Shaun has named six props and IMO he'll go with five v Catalans with Patrick to the 2nd row.
Lloyd will miss out IMO and maybe Hampshire which would be wrong to me.
He wasn't great v HKR but neither were our halves who've been poor away from home all season.
It's the halves that need a shake up. I'd put Hampshire at 6, Smith 7 and Williams as bench half/hooker. Give Catalans something to think about.
If they see Williams and Smith as halves again Lo Fres and Monas will know it will be same old, same old from us. The same game plan that's only won one away game all season.
Carney will have had a word with his old mate Campese and he'll have put him right about a few things. Carney and Dureau will be their halves probably.
We need to win this.

| I'm looking forward to seeing how Bowen goes as I feel Wane will give him a chance. Think he'll be chomping at the bit to impress and we may see a glimpse of what we saw in rare patches last year. What he lacks in pace these days he makes up for in other areas, albeit he does have is downfalls.
Keeping the halves is okay with me, as I don't think they're behind the problems we have away from home. We've already tried changing it with Williams early on this year and now George is settling in now I think it would be silly to revert back again.
If we keep our heads over there like we did last year and not get wound up by their antics and time wasting then we'll do okay. James Child was outstanding in handling it in 2014 and let's hope we let him referee the game this time around and we keep our heads. A win over there could be massive for our season and be a kick-start for this run of games coming up for us on the road.

Hampshire's had a reasonable run of games, perhaps time for him to step down. After all, he's hardly set the world alight whereas Smith is our entire kicking game and Williams seems to be developing nicely. The biggest puzzle in my mind is how Powell is getting in ahead of Logan.

Agreed, I remember watching these two in the warm up, passing the ball from the ground. Logan was as fast as Dermott. I'd imagine the first receivers would prefer him. A bit smaller and not as quick thinking in open play as Powell but 2nd fittest in the club.
