Greenwood I understand as he needs super league game time but didn't think Gildart would be ready yet? Strange one but I look forward to their televised matches to see how they do.

Good opportunity for the lads.

Not sure if Salford are the right team to be helping out though. They will be close to the top 4 at the end of the year imo. Are we helping out a rival?

could be helping a rival team to take points off other rivals, surely the development of Greenwood and Gildart will outweigh any negative effects

Good opportunity for the pair and it's probably good t have the doctor on our good side if the marquee signing comes into play.

Great chance for them both but especially Gildart.

Looking forward to watching them in action.

It does smell of RL politics a bit.

We've heard all sorts of rumours that SW and Harris don't hit it off now, next thing two players off there on loan.
Not sure I'd want any player of mine sharing a dressing room with Griffin. He's had umpteen clubs and fallen out with the coach at each one, allegedly!
I thought HKR was the loan club of first choice now?

Anyway if it gets the Good Doctor and IL on side re the Marquee Player vote then we're all better off for that.

If you looked at our injury & Suspensions then we definitely need bodies. So we thank you for that both clubs seem to have a good relationship but can we have Gelling next time icon_smile.gif

I don't think Gelling would fit in at Salford, he is to sensible and level headed. icon_surprised.gifops:

This looks like good business for us to me, as long as they can't play against us of course.

I see it more that wigan are getting two young players some SL experience. they are more or less guaranteed to play considering Salford's squad problems of late especially further to the two bans we heard of yesterday.

salford were struggling to get a team on the sheet before the loans were agreed so I don't really see it too much of a threat "helping" them out by loaning them two of our players. it can only benefit the two lads in the long run and surely wigan will reap the rewards in the long term too as I can't see them being allowed to play against us (not sure if we have a fixture with them before the loan runs out?)

good business by both clubs if you ask me.

Gildart is a fantastically talented prospect but, as we have already seen, may not be ready physically for Super League. Would they be looking to play him somewhere other than centre. He played at full back, a fair bit, in the U19s, because of injuries.

Young Gildart didn't look ready for the Championship when he played for Workington last week at Halifax. He needs to work on his defence. With ball in hand he looks okay but his defence is his weakness.
