| I've seen on another thread which is supposed to be about Andy Powell people talking about Lee's performance vs Wire and in the big games in general, and thought I'd give it it's own thread. I personally have not been too impressed with Lee this season compared to last season and especially 2011. Since the announcement that he had signed for Parramatta I've been even less impressed due to my expectations of him being risen to that of an NRL prop. In the Wire game Crosby looked more like the prop from our team who is making that step up, something that could possibly be happening as I recall rumors about Dean Bell looking at him when he was over here a few month ago. IMO if Lee shows up in Australia next year performing like this he'll find himself in the NSW Cup, hopefully he can prove me wrong. I don't personally see it as a size or fitness issue that stops him being NRL level, it's more his lack of aggression. He seems to me to just get the work required done which I don't think will do for him in the NRL and doesn't seem to get into the face of the opposition, something which Graham has done to great affect and Sam Burgess also does well in any position the Bunnies play him in. Much like we have risen expectations of any Aussie or Kiwi who comes to SuperLeague to be better than any British player in their same position that they are keeping out of the side, so too will Parramatta fans expect Lee and Gaz Hock if he does end up going there to performance at a level to justify a "pom" taking a spot in the team.

| He was dire last year. He's much improved this season but lacks aggression.
He's a good but not great player and will do ok in the NRL. They won't rave about him like Graham or Sam or George Burgess because he isn't in that class. He'll hold down a regular place though.

| What is "NRL level" though? There are plenty of average forwards in Australia. Graham and Burgess were 2 of the best forwards over here and now they're
2 of the best over there. Mossop will do fine in the NRL in my opinion.

| I hear that Mossop is injured again. He seems to spend an awful lot of time on the treatment bench.
I know this isn't always a player's fault, but if you look at someone like Prescott - not as effective as Mossop anyway IMO - but now most of us dismiss him from our calculations because we know it won't be long before he gets injured again.
It feels like Mossop is falling into the same category.

| I mentioned this on the Andy Powell thread. I just don't think Mossop brings it in big games such as Wire, Leeds, Huddersfield and Saints. He looks a world beater against Wakey, Cas, London etc but fails to transfer that to the top opposition.
Why? Does he lose his bottle? I'm not sure but he certainly needs to pick up his game in the big games. He'll get found out rather quickly in the NRL if he doesn't - and it'll all end in tears rather quickly also.

| Before he was injured he was a TOP player, he had a controlled agression that complemented SOL & HH. Then his shoulders popped and now he's half the man. Maybe the hotter conditions over there may help his recovery. Lets not forget the magic weekend against saints - he was awesome, perhaps his last great match. Also, in that match we saw a that he can knock a man out with a single shot, ozzies will love that

| I don't think he will be too much of a miss. You would have expected him to stand up and be the pack leader on Monday but Dom Crosby seemed to put himself about a lot more. He's a decent prop but as others have said he lacks aggression. Also the shoulder weakness he seems to have is bound to effect him. Form me Chris Hill at Warrington is a better player.

| His best season was 2 years ago in 2011, hasn't replicated that form since sadly, wasn't that bothered when it was announced he was going to the Eels. He's a solid prop, does the work required, but meh, easily replaceable in my opinion. As mentioned above, Chris Hill is a better player and it showed on Monday
But 'NRL Level' is a silly concept. He will be fine in the NRL, it's like us folks in the Northern Hemisphere think the NRL is full of monsters and you have to play at a level 10x what you're at now... it really isn't

| I thought it was me who thought he has been dire. Against Wire there seemed to be no fight in him, in that he lost most of his collisions and I can only recall one where when he took it in he put them on the back foot. For me atm no great loss for next year.

Sums him up for me.
He hasn't really improved, when we thought he might become a World beater.
Good post.

| NRL level? Don't make me laugh, there's not very many decent props over there. Plus he's going to Parra, he'll take a massive dump over the rest of their pack through effort alone.

| An excellent player sadly under rated by many here but maybe that is a reflection upon them rather than the player. One thought, Moose may even play second row for Parra, the position he played for much of his Academy career. Forwards in the NRL are clearly better overall in terms of depth than SL. The Eels are rebuilding but they have Tim Mannah who is an excellent prop, Fui Fui who is an excellent impact prop. A quality hooker would improve the Eels considerably. The more direct play of the NRL might see Moose prosper more than under over elaborate sideways Wanes World.

Just because someone has a different opinion than you, gives you the right to attack them ?
Why not argue your point rather than [iad hominem[/i attacks ?

I did argue my point which again is probably a reflection upon you. However, just think about it Wane/McNamara/Stuart ALL rate Moose yet a few 'fans' suddenly adopt a sour grapes negativity when it is announced a player is leaving. Opinions are like s blah blah blah BUT some in this thread are either not credible or worthwhile.
