That's good, should mean a big transfer fee when he decides to leave.

| all on official site nowWigan Warriors confirm that Wigan Prop-Forward, Lee Mossop, and Second Row Forward Gareth Hock currently on-loan at Widnes will join NRL side Parramatta Eels at the end of the current 2013 Super League season.
In an innovative arrangement, Wigan have agreed that Mossop and Hock can join Parramatta and both players have agreed 2-year contracts with the Sydney-based Club for Seasons 2014 and 2015 with a further 1-year mutual option for 2016.
Parramatta will pay the Warriors a substantial six-figure Transfer Fee for each player since both players have been developed by Wigan and are currently contracted with the Wigan Club on long-term contracts.
As part of the agreement by Wigan to release the England International players at this time to take up the challenge in the NRL with Parramatta, it is agreed that Wigan have first option on each player to re-sign him at a defined salary for 2/3 years, dependent on time spent playing in Australia, when and if they choose to return to Super League.'"
Quote: "Wigan Warriors are delighted to announce that ex-Great Britain half-back Sean Long is joining the Club's coaching staff.
Long is a knowledgeable Coach who has proved himself initially for the past 18 months at Salford City Reds as an Assistant Coach and will join the Wigan Club shortly.
'"
Quote: "Wigan Warriors announce that England Elite Training Squad Second Row International Liam Farrell has today agreed a new 5-year Contract with the Club. Liam's original contract ran until the end of the current season with options for the next two years. This new deal secures Liam to Wigan for Seasons 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017 with an option for 2018.
Farrell has been one of the stand-out Super League players this season and has been widely tipped for an England place in the Rugby League World Cup which kicks off in October.'"

Should be, yeah. But, as has been shown today, we should get him back after he's tested himself down under.

Obviously seen as a good signing by the club. I'm not convinced by it, but, will give him the benefit of the doubt.

| Just been speaking to a mate of mine who plays for Sale. Powell is a strong, fast runner who can play for 2/3 of the game if needed. One of the fittest in the Sale team apparently. He should be a good addition and I'm sure he will be trained well by Wigan to help him with the switch.

| Good to see us get a six figure sum out of Hock. He was going regardless so this is not a loss to us.
Shame to lose Mossop though, this buy back option? is this only if he chooses to come back to Super League?
Hopefully in 2 years time we will have a salary cap that allows us to compete with the NRL to stand a chance of bringing these players back into Super League.
No comment on the welsh yawnion fella till I have seen him play. As for Sean Long there must have been SOMEBODY more suitable ....surely..

How do you know, as a coach, he wasn't the most suitable candidate?
