| does any one think this team should still be in super league, its fairly obvious with the crowd last night they dont want super league, there couldn't have been more than a hundred on, Batley had ten times more last week and were very immpresive, a good crowd and a good game. I say throw London Broncos out and replace them with a team who wants to be there.

| There was 1837 on at London, I very much doubt that batley had a crowd of 18,000+ last week.
I agree there are many problems at London but the answer is not throwing them out of super league and replacing them with yet another yorkshire team limiting the league to the Northern stereotype even more. We need to keep them in and build from what we have, nothing seems to be happening at the minute though.

| There are enough Yorkshire teams in already. Too many Yorkshire teams is part of the problem. The local talent needs to be concentrated in two, maybe three at the most, SL clubs.

| Why does everybody keep putting the boot into the Broncos . They put on the best day out in Superleague every year . Everybody that goes enjoys it , so it must be the ones that dont go that keep knocking it .
Regards , EW

Got to agree with EW
fantastic day out (weekend if thats what you want to make it)
I think too many fans are all too happy with Lanc V Yorkshire and thats it.
we complain that the cap is too low and that we cant keep losing players to oz and RU
however, where is the majority of our national press (down south), do you think Sky would pay to see some northerners play each other each week (i know you could argue that already as London / Cats arent on that often), however without Cats and London i dont think the Sky deal would be as good as it is already
RL is spreading albeit slowly outside of the traditional RL heartlands and it has to be good for the game if it is to have a future in the long term
I would love to see a Cumbrian side in SL as well, but not at the expense of London.
We had the debate last year after Fev's run in the cup, but would they be any different to the likes of Wakey, Cas etc in terms of their ability to achieve SL standards and be financially sound

Nice flat cap you have there.
Oh and...

So London actually had [size200%[/size of what Batley got.

| The ameteur game in the London is booming since the Broncos became pro and the Broncos have signed a lot of the ameteur;s up .Sadly the fan base is not there but I can remember 12.000 + being on when Wigan played them in the first game against the Broncos at Fulham.

| The most successful time the club has had is when they basically dressed themselves up as an Aussie club and targetted the Australian community in London as supporters. Everything down to the XXXX sponsorship of the shirts and the Kangaroo burgers on sale were Australian and it worked far better then their current set up does.
I thought they missed a great opportunity when they re-branded back to the Bronco's to start going back down that path. Why they didn't go back to their old kit god knows!

| HKR must have had 80 fans at most say in that corner(waving their tin foil) to be fair to London.
Still a dreadful crowd.

| It is terrible that one Super League rugby league club can't survive in London when so many top flight union clubs are doing so well there.

| They are surviving - just. Watching the game against Hull KR though the standard of rugby was not good to say the least - both teams made a lot of mistakes. Until the Broncos improve on the fields they will struggle to get fans through the gates except when teams like Wigan and Leeds turn up.
With so many RU teams around it is sad to say that they will always struggle if they try to compete on a like for like basis - they really do need to find some kind of draw or appeal to the general sport fans who maybe don't go to RU - in London there must surely be enough of them to make the Broncos viable.

Its down to the fact that london's down south. Its a union hotbed, leagues an intrusion.
Contrary to what some believe, league will NEVER take off down there. Been tried umpteen times, Kent invicta, Fulham , etc.
Just as Union struggles up north...Orrell? now Sale are struggling.
Lessons to be learned here...you cant MAKE people watch what they have no interest in

| it's got to come from the RFL, get free touch rugby kit into the schools in the less priviledged areas of London. Get the kids playing League, the RFL need to target amateur clubs in london that dont have the union public school old boy networks. Fund the amateur game get them playing and watching and nurture a base that will play and support league.

| All the Premiership union clubs (with the exception of Harlequins) that were based in London have now abandoned the capital due to the difficulies faced there. If anything, the Broncos have done extremely well to be in the position they are currently in. I suspect some people don't fully understand the value of the Broncos to the game of rugby league in general, nor do they appreciate the amount of work that has been done at grass roots level in the capital. This work is starting to come to fruition and it would be criminal to relegate the Broncos team. Given time and stability they will become increasingly competitive and will continue to develop their fan base. More importantly, the Broncos away game is the easiest game of the season for me to get to - far easier than Friday night home games at Wigan! - so I would like them to remain in Super League on that basis alone.
