| Both are very promising players but I think they will be a considerable step down from the seasoned pro's you had last year in the very underrated Luke Patten and Daniel Holdsworth. It's interesting to see Murphy a current Wigan academy player compete with a former one in Josh Veivers for the fullback role.

There are an awful lot of English players going over there next year. The money in the lower leagues there is far better than what is on offer here.

| I agree witht he fact about replacing Holdsworth and Patten but to be honest Im sick of watching Aussies and would rather watch some young english lads play. Would prefer to only have 1 teenager in the 3 pivot positions instead of 3 we have been linked with. what are their key attributes? Is Murphy a GKicker?

| Murphy can kick goals although I wouldn't say he is good enough to be first choice. He'll generally kick more than he misses though.
Powell is a smart player, a traditional scrum half with a good kicking game, good passing to his left and right and also a very good defensive player. He's not the quickest but he's still got some good footwork and acceleration which makes him useful when running with the ball.
As for Murphy he's come a long way in the space of a year. Despite his dropped balls against Leeds in the playoffs I can't remember seeing him drop a catch while playing for the under 20's. He's very confident and backs himself to claim the difficult kicks which is exactly what you want from a fullback. He's a smart player, reads the game well in both defence and attack and his footwork is also very good.
The one thing that might stop him being a top player is he doesn't really have out and out pace. Good footwork and good acceleration but over longer distances he's certainly not the fastest.

He's going playing semi-pro and working in the mines.
