| Hopefully that'll stop King walking around like he owns the place.
Mellor and Marsh will probably go back to Widnes.

He's had a poor season in the U20's this year.

| Probably replace them with three pensionable Aussies.

| With the U20's going down to U19's next year there will be a lot of players of their age at all clubs getting released.

| Well if they're not good enough then they're not good enough. Regardless of where they're from.

| Is this just an announcement for the players who were out of contract this year or does it suggest most of the other young players on the fringes of the squad (e.g. Powell, Crosby, Tomkins, Carberry, Spencer, Murphy, Lloyd and Burke) have been retained?
It's going to be interesting to see how this all works out with no under 20's or reserve side. What would happen if, just as an example, Matty Smith starts the season badly and is replaced by Powell? Would Smith have to play for South Wales to keep up match fitness along with other fringe players?
I'm assuming the link up between Super League clubs and Championship clubs would allow them to send first team players needing match fitness otherwise there could be some real issues should players need the opportunity to regain match fitness after injury.

Well I certainly hope they are coming our way they have been rumoured to be signing for months. For some reason the Club have been silent about new signings so far. Maybe it was agreed with Wigan that you would announce their release before we announced their signing as a courtesy thing, recognising that you had kindly loaned both players to us for most of the season (the whole season in Marsh's case).

| Ryan King's departure means he becomes the 9th member of Wigan's '100% Club' (players who played only one game for Wigan's first team but scored a try). In fact, as Ryan scored two tries in his one outing he is in an even smaller club along with Alan Jones who scored a double in his only appearance against Blackpool at Central Park in 1961.

Fringe players/first team players not in the 17 will be playing closer to home!
